I just bought a ps3, and I was wondering about charging the controller. Will it charge if the system is in sleep mode and it is plugged in? Do I have to leave the system on while it charges? Also, do you have any game reccommendations for me? I like all types...

You need to leave the console ON in order for the Sixaxis to charge. While it's charging, the red light on the controller will flash. Once it stops flashing, your controller will be fully charged and will be good for about 30 hours (unplugged) before having to charge it again.

As far as games go, here are a few few good ones:

-Resistance (First Person Shooter)
-Rainbow Six: Vegas (First Person Shooter)
-The Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (Adventure)
-Motorstorm (Racing)
-The Godfather (Action/Adventure) similar to GTA.
-The Darkness (First Person Shooter)

Hope this helps. Good luck!

you need to leave the ps3 on while it's chargeing. When the red light starts to flash that's when you plug the USB in to the controller. And when the light has stopped, you can take it out. But you can still use the controller while it's chargeing. I like racing games so i would pick from best down... Motorstorm, ridge racer 7 and Formula one Championship.

Games:
Elder Scrolls 4: Oblivion ( massive rpg)
Resistance: Fall Of Man (first person shooter)
Call of Duty 3 ( first pertson shooter)
Motorstorm (racing)
Rainbow 6 Vegas ( third/first person shooter)

Ps3 has to be on to charge but you charge it for like 2 hours and you can get like 30+ hrs of playing before chargeing again When its done chargeing the red light ( taht shows you wich controler is 1 and so on....)

the indication that the controller is being charged is the charging LED on the controller-as this does not come on in sleep mode then the controller cannot be charged.

To charge, either plug it into your PS3 with the usb cable (and you can play while doing that) or plug it into your computer. Your computer/PS3 has to be on.

Games:
Resistance (RFoM)
Ridge Racer 7
