I watch what I eat, work out 5-6 days a week, but also like to have an occasional glass of wine or two during the week.

What are some of the better choices when it comes to alcohol consumption? I'm not a big beer or liquor drinker, and usually stick to wine.

I've been told that champagne is the best choice since it is more dry than sweet, therefore contains less sugar. Is this true? If not, what do you suggest?

Wine is a great choice because its relatively low cal and has lots of antioxidants. One or two glasses a week should not be setting you back on your diet if you are working out and eating right. I don't drink, so I don't know much about champagne, but I have read on several occasions that wine is quite healthy (I read a lot about nutrition).
