first of all i prefer vegeterian food which has almost no adversly effect on health except when they get treated with DDT like harmful sprays and chemicals . the use of insectiside and pesticides is the only negative pt. But it doesnt matters when u wash vegetables and fruits in fresh running water .
Banana - rich in calcium, easy digestible
Orange - juicy , fibrous
Apple , grapes , water melon almost every type of fruit is benefictial . Chikoo....Jaamun...etc....etc

Beleive me i eat fruits daily proportionally 3 times a day and take almost every cereals and vegetable (cooked) with salads in 3 time meals

Soya bean cereals- protein rich
onion - good for heart
Amla - rich in vitamis C
Carrot (raw ) - VitA
Raddish -Fibrous
pumkin , lady finger , Karela ka Bharta- purify blood
, Cabbage ,
Potato - Calorie rich; carbohydrates
Rice - Carbohydrates
Milk - includes all vitamins and minerals in small quantities except VIT C .
Tomato .
Sugar - glucose rich, calories rich
Cheese as a milk product
Honey - ads 1 day daily to ur lyf...lol :-)
and there are many other things in vegetarian food which helps to keep u healthy ... arent the above food item of ur interest and used in daily diet ?

So go for Lemon Water with 2-3 teaspoon of sugar or honey ; Milk shake ; banana shake ; mango shake ; Chocolate shake wit h proteins ; Salads; Fruit Cream ; Fruit chats ; Veg Sandwich ; Coffee instead of hard drinks; Juices instead of soft drinks ; Use little intake of items containing preservatives like sauces .
well i can teach on such health benifit progs. coz there r lots of benificials food items available in vegeterian category . SImply go for it .

well unless u want the whole biochemistry of food,i 'd say u need all of them in their right proportions!fruits n veggies give u vitamins and minerals that ur body needs in coordination and metabolism.u also need some carbohydrates and protein but not too much of these.u need omega-3 fatty acids or the good fat.u can get this from nuts.u do not need alot of sugar or salt cause their accumulation in the body has some serious effects.u also do not need animal fat in ur blood stream cause they are pretty difficult to digest and could go clog ur arteries, impeding blood flow and hey presto....cardiac arrest!!!

I think one of the best bangs for your nutritional buck is a sweet potato. High in riboflavin and other B vitamins, vit. A and beta-carotene, minerals, fiber, and energy from complex carbs. Can't beat it!
