Jesus called God Allaha (aramaic)

'And in their footsteps We sent Jesus the son of Mary, confirming the Law that had come before him: We sent him the Gospel: therein was guidance and light, and confirmation of the Law that had come before him: a guidance and an admonition to those who fear Allah.' (Qur'an)

Jesus is the son of God and the true Savior. He has nothing to do with Islam whatsoever.

According to Islam, Jesus is a prophet of Allah. Muslims believe that Muhammad is his last prophet. So both are called prophets.

Moses said in Deuteronomy 18:18-22 the qualifications of this prophet who will come after him. God said through Moses: “I will raise them up a Prophet from among their brethren, like unto thee.” Like Moses. What was Moses? An Israelite. How about Muhammad, was he an Israelite? He was not. How about Jesus? He comes from the line of David, hence, an Israelite. Therefore, Jesus meets the qualification. Muhammad does not.

God also said that “When a prophet speaketh in the name of the Lord, if the thing follow not, nor come to pass, that is the thing which the Lord hath not spoken, but the prophet hath spoken it presumptuously: thou shalt not be afraid of him.” What are the things that Muhammad prophesied? Is there any?

How about Jesus? Did He prophesy? He foretold the fall of three cities: Capernaum, Chorazin, and Bethsaida (Matthew 11:21-24). He foretold the fall of Jerusalem to take place within one generation (Luke 19:41-44). He foretold the dispersion of the Jews (Luke 21:24). He even foretold that one of His disciples will betray Him (Matthew 26:21), and Peter’s denial of Jesus three times followed by the crowing of a c-o-c-k (Matthew 26:34, 74). He even foretold His coming back and the coming of the Holy Spirit after Him in John chapters 14, 15 and 16.

Who then is more believable based on what God said through Moses: Muhammad or Jesus? Muhammad lived 1400 years ago, and Jesus, some 2000 years ago. So all of us have not met the prophet we believe in. We are in the same playing field. Let us determine who we should believe. We have to search for the true God and not any gods.

Jesus Christ is the Alpaha and Omega, the Beginning and the End, The First and the Last, He who was and is and is to come, the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, Saviour and Redeemer of all mankind who will trust in Him, the Bread of Life, the Light of the World, The Prince of Peace, Almighty God, the Lamb of God which takes away the sin of the world, the Word, an ever present help in time of need, the Lion of Judah, the final judge of mankind, and so much more. He is subject to nobody and is the second member of the Godhead which is composed of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. He is the Resurrection and the Life and the only name given under Heaven among men whereby all men "must be" saved.

Jesus is God incarnate - The "ONLY BEGOTTEN SON" of the one true and living God who also has many names but none of them is Allah! To believe less of Him is to believe a lie and condemn yourself to God's displeasure on the day when we all stand before Him if you continue in this deception until you die and enter eternity.

God sent Christ to die for all mankind. To reject Him is to reject the greatest gift ever presented to mankind, and this rejection forces God to pronounce the words, "depart from me -- I never knew you" on the day of judgment on everyone who chooses to accept any other belief as truth.

This answer will not sit well with the muslims who seem to be in abundance in this particular issue, but God will not change His plan to suit any man made religion.

Jesus Is The Only Begotten Son of God and Our Savior.

yes, i did and that is a fact. yup 100% true

in islam (my religion) we believe that god has no son, no daughter, no mother, no father, and no companion. that is why he is god (being non human as possible), those are the traits that make him god, not b/c he has similar traits to human beings. i mean doesn't that make sense. a god of anykind no matter what religion should not be similar to people and that gets us back to saying that jesus is a god, he is HUMAN NOT A GOD AND HE IS A PROPHET SENT FROM ALLAH.
and saying that jesus is god's son is completly untrue, we believe that jesus is another prophet just like prophet mohamed and the other 25.

Dont say Christians and generalize - say "predominantly Catholics". i don't have one in my living house and could no longer. regrettably, Islam places a faux prophet above the Lord Jesus Christ who's God and our one and in ordinary terms Saviour - cant have confidence something Islam says after that.

Christians and Muslims should not be offended by this.
There are many names and titles for God in the Bible.
They are often pronounced different in other languages.
The Qur'an also says Jesus was born of a virgin!
Mohammad got his early training form Christian monks. (form what I've read) Unfortunately the church of that time was heavily into idol worship. Having a statue for every saint under the sun to pray to. Mohammad already had rejected that many god idea. Which caused so much devision in his homeland. So he started his own, Christian sect. With it's own bible. Not unlike many other Christian sects.

Marinosa no le llora…

The citation is Qur'an 5:46. The translation I'm using says "Torah" in place of "Law".

lynda_at_work: Yes. Muslims are not supposed to make distinctions between the prophets, so Jesus (pbuh) is to be given the same respect as Prophet Muhammed (pbuh).

depends on what your belief is. Muslims believe Christians and Jews are going the wrong path because of this belief of theirs.

Yes, I know that Muslims believe Jesus is a prophet of God, and I also know that Arabic speaking Christians call God Allah.

Thanks for asking.
