Is it true that if you eat a banana before practice it will keep you from getting cramps?

Bannanas contain potassium which does help to prevent cramping. However, if you get cramps during workout, you need more than that, you need to hydrate yourself better with something like "propel" water or anything that replaces electro lites lost thru sweating. Water is important, but bottled water doesn't contain enough minerals to help, and can in fact cause problems.

lack of potassium and dehydration are the two main reasons for cramps, drink a lot of water and eat bananas
