yes i used to just lean over the tub and pour it straight out of the bottle and soak my hair in it and leave it on, towel dried it styled it and went on with my bussiness, i did it every day for like 2 weeks and it started lighting my hair at the time my hair was DARK BROWN
and i was assuming your refering to the peroxide you use on cuts NOT the actual peroxide they use to bleech / dye hair

Hydrogen peroxide has been used for lightening hair. The problem is, you never know for sure what color it's going to be. It sometimes gives it a very fake look.
You can mix 100% lemon juice with just a touch of water, and put that on hair and then get out in the sun to lighten it, but again, results can be un even. Better to either let it lighten naturally from swimming in a chlorinated pool and being in the sun, or going to a salon and paying to have it done right.

Yes it does. When I was in high school I use to put regular hydrogen peroxide on my hair and it would turn light. It also broke off which could be a combination of the peroxide, relaxer and too much heat. Although its peroxide and not bleach be sure to take care of your hair as if you used any other hair coloring products.
I've also heard of lemon juice which I haven't tried yet but would assume that it would be less damaging than peroxide.

you add peroxide with bleach, too turn your hair blonde.peroxide comes in three strengths.
10 vol
20 vol
30 vol
40 vol
10 being the weakest 40 begin the strongest.so if you have blonde hair and want it a little blonder use 10 vol with bleach.if u have dark hair use 40 vol with bleach to go blonde.in salons they add peroxide to hair colour,to get the shade of colour.when u buy box colours from shops u mix the 2 bottles together.1 begin the colour the other begin the peroxide.hope this helps.so peroxide does lighten your hair.hope this helps.

Yes... and no, it can change color that same day or maybe the next. I did it on accident, I was putting it on my pierced ears and some got in my hair and my hair turned orange.. in a small spot. I think heat speeds it up though. u dont want to use peroxide!! jsut buy some hair dye

it really doeslighten your hair..be if youre hair is too dark it might turn it orange. you'd be best off putting it in a squirt bottle with 75% peroxide and 15% water, then just pretty much drenching your head in it. it takes different amount of time for different hair types..but for me it took about 20 minutes.
be careful though, it'll make your hair really dry and brittle, sometimes even causing it to fall out. so if you're gonna go with the peroxide idea wash it out before it gets extremely light, and then without shampooing condition your hai with a deep conditioner. it wont be as soft, be it'll be a little better.
good luck! =]

Yes but the results are very unpredictable.
Either use a lightening solution (in the hair dye area of your store) or go to a salon.
Unless you want orange hair of course.

Peroxide, it's an ingredient in things like hair dye. It's a lighting agent. But don't use it alone on your hair it needs to be in a solution. It breaks down your hair creating the sulfur smell that you get when you dye your hair.

I have used almost everything to lighten up my hair. Peroxide does not work. I like to use Sun-In and lay in the sun. That seems to work the best for me.
