Amen Brother!!! The world has became to dislike God so much and people that make shows or movies like that bring in the money. Think about it. All the non-Christian movies are top sellers. All the good Christain movies aren't at the top. I wish people would come to know Jesus as their Lord and Savior.

I am a Christian and I like the Simpsons. Just chill out and laugh once in awhile, it's not meant to be taken seriously.

When I was growing up the Simpsons was on the list of things I wasn't allowed to watch (along with Power Rangers and TMNT) because it was somehow anti-Christianity. I think that is ridiculous. These things only have the power that you give to them. Without all the fuss, it's just another tv show.

Threats?

You can threaten all you like, but the creators of The Simpsons don't care. I'm a big Simpsons fan, so I've listened to many of the audio commentary tracks for the DVDs, and I can say that most of the writers identify as nonreligious or lapsed Catholics. They aren't going to care if you threaten them with hell.

And they're right. They can create art (The Simpsons is original enough and of high enough quality that I consider it artistic) that criticizes religion. Part of the point of art is to shock people into rethinking life, so maybe they're succeeding.

Yup. You need more control of whats "out there" lest it somehow infects your fairy tale. I thought your belief was unshakable, eternal and all that. If so why do you care? Better go back inside before the sun shines on you.
Is that a prayer? Since you add amen to the end I hope you are done.

Gosh, are you representative of the Christian religion? I guess you are, yes, you must be. And for you a snake talked and a fella walked on water and some nitwit was willing, even eager, to burn his son alive because an invisible god in the sky said, "Do it if you love me!" And you chaps wonder why so many of our Canadian neighbors think we Yanks are...well, candidates for the loony bin? Sir, I hope for your sake that you were only making a joke.

I love the Simpsons, and Family Guy and shows like that, yeah sure occasionally they poke fun at Christianity and God, but that is not a bad thing, and many times it is funny. One thing that I hate are fanatics who want to rid the world of anything that is in the least offensive to them.

One of my favorite scenes is when Ned Flanders takes his kids to the museum and ends up exposing them to the evolution exhibit; and when he asks the curator where the "equal time" for creationism is, Ned is directed to a little "Goddidit" diorama with that Michael McDonald song "What a Fool Believes" playing in the background....

You are wrong, The Simpsons are one of the most religious shows on TV. God is a real character on the show and is always respected.
