Anyone got a recipe for making homemade lemonade without sugar?

I am guessing honey or apple juice could be used instead but how much?

Just to explain: I can't use sugar because I am making for children who are not allowed sugar as it conflicts with their medication.

I'm not just trying to spoil the thrill of lemonade! :-)

Have you tried adding a Sugar Free substitute which are aspartame or Xylitol based. you can also use splenda which is to be used in the same ratio as sugar (1:1).
Some other recipes for Lemonade which use no sugar include:

HOMEMADE LEMONADE
Squeeze 4 lemons, 1 orange, 1 lime
Put into pitcher.
Add 1/2 cup honey to dissolve in 1 cup warm water. Put into pitcher. Add 3 cup cold water, 1 tray of ice. Mix and refrigerate or serve

Easy Strawberry Lemonade
1 (6 oz) can frozen lemonade concentrate
1 cup frozen strawberries
1 cup water
2 cups ice cubes
Place all the ingredients in a blender and blend until pureed.

Raspberry Lemonade Punch
1 (12 oz) can frozen raspberry lemonade concentrate
3 cups water
12 ounces lemon-lime soda
1 1/2 cups crushed ice
Fresh raspberries for garnish
Combine the water and concentrate in a punch bowl and mix together well. Add the lemon-lime soda and crushed ice just before serving. Float the raspberries on the top for garnish.
Try using soda or Seltzer for a sparkling Lemonade

You can simply just do the lemon juice and water, but it may take you awhile to get accustomed to the taste. I like it that way.
But if you must have some type of sweetness without actually using sugar you could try the following: 5 teaspoons lemon juice and 3 cups apple juice in 2 quarts of water.

I like to eat lemons, and I put a little salt on them to cut the sour. Honey might sweeten it, but by the time you put in enough, it would no longer be lemonade and would taste distinctly of honey. You could use an artificial sweetener, but you may not have that on hand, either.

The honey lemonaid from Willa above sounds good but I would double check those splenda amounts in her splenda lemonaid. 1 cup of splenda is an awful lot of sugar substitute

HONEY LEMONADE

1 cups Honey
1 cups Hot water
¾ cups Lemon juice
8 cups Cold water

Stir honey and hot water over low heat until blended. Let cool and add lemon juice and cold water. Pour into iced glasses.

The honey/water syrup may be refrigerated and used to make lemonade a glass at a time. To serve, mix 4 T syrup to 1½ T lemon juice and 1 c water per person. Pour into iced glasses.

Splendad Lemonade

1 cup Splenda sugar substitute
1 cup lemon juice (bottled works fine)
1/4 cup lime juice (again, bottled works fine)
2 quarts water

Combine first 3 ingredients and stir well.
Add water and stir until completely mixed.
Serve in tall glasses over ice.
Recipe may be doubled.

Are you opposed to Splenda?

1 cups lemon juice
1 cups Splenda (from the bag)

Add cold water and ice to reach the 2-quart mark on a pitcher.
