It seems to me that most of the men in my life have been less than honest.
Are women the same way, do you think?

I think men lie more than women, but I think women scheme to make the truth they want.
I think it's pretty much the same. A guy will lie to his wife just to avoid hearing her talk about something. Sometimes because they did something wrong, but usually just to avoid talking.
Women will say, "Jim never takes me anywhere," then ask Jim to take them somewhere when he's right in the middle of something she knows he can't stop.
Some women lie, but I think all women manipulate things. Some men manipulate, but almost all lie.

Well, here's a bit of an answer. My girlfriend has a thing about promises. She says that she refuses to break a promise, like it's an ironclad contract. However, there have been many times when I've called her on slight deceptions, like saying she'd do this if I did that. In other words, she's completely trustworthy and completely untrustworthy at the same time.
Yes, we still have a good relationship. I feel that I could trust her in a more serious situation, whether she promised or not.

I wouldn't say women lie more than men, Sharon. Both genders can, have, and will lie about something eventually. If you are basing your assumption on men you have met online then I'd say you're right however in the real world and not this fantasyland we call the internet I'd say most men, and most women will tell the truth in most things...with the exception of matters of the heart. Or the affair.

Well, yes. I think women generally tend to be a bit more fluid about the truth than men, actually, but don't CALL it "lying" when they are . . . it's "why cause trouble?" or "not hurting someone's feelings" or "for the best" or "it wouldn't do them any good to know, anyway." :-)
99% of what MOST men say before you've had sex with them should be taken with a grain of salt, though. We don't call that lying, either. It's "having game" or "strategy."

Well- I have found my equal shares of liars in both.
The funny thing, is they lie to each other as well.
men 2 men and woman 2 woman
guess we are ALL just big fat liars!
Well that's a relief huh?

I don't think that woman are apt to lie as often as men...but yes, many do lie.. and gossip?... Believe it or not,I think that men take the grand prize home for this,as well...they're like a bunch of clucking hens, where I work..
I believe that most often, the root reason for lying or gossiping,is insecurity, which is a manifestation of the emotion, of fear.

Yes, women are the same. Everybody (men and women) is a liar. Don't ask me about my life, my extended family, or my client (managed by women).

How many things must a person steal before they become a thief? How many times must one murder another person before they become a murder? One and one, right? Ok then, how many lies must a person tell to become a liar? Doesn't that point out we are all liars? Jim
