my belief is the spirit world
where we are on a realm that is suitable for our spiritual development
and with us are others who are on a similar path ... this may be family members , friends or strangers who are all travelling together
we dont have to be with anyone we dont wish to , or even see them for that matter
but we will understand them better than we do here , so maybe we will think differently of them

You will, but if they were mean who's to say they will make it to heaven. The best way to think about it is that you will receive all that you deserve and more. If that involves family members that were good and want you, then you well be reunited. If not, then there really is no point to families, is there? Which would make heaven that much more boring and dull.

Actually, according to Christians, my mother, father, and brother would be destined for hell. (As would my aunt, my grandfather and perhaps some others). So...I have to say, I'm not too eager about the whole "hell" thing in the first place, considering I'm very attached to my family.
But then, also according to Christians, when I go to heaven, I will no longer remember the family members who are going to hell. I won't recall having my parents or my brother. Such a great thought, isn't it? Can't have anybody ruining your 'paradise'!

Yes my friend it is true. Let me show you something from the Holy Quran. It is from the 36th Surah called "Yasin" verse 55 to 58, the meanings are:
55.
Surely the Companions of the Garden shall, That day have joy In all that they do;
56.
They and their spouses Will be in groves Of (cool) shade, reclining On raised couches;
57.
(Every) fruit (enjoyment) Will be there for them;
They shall have whatever They call for;
58.
"Peace!"--a Word (Of salutation) from a Lord
Most Merciful!
Still do you not see what Allah has kept for you. Do you still not remember what you have promised Him. Even we Muslims forget about it. It is such a pity.
Yes your family will live with your loved ones if you have obeyed only the true creator. Have you done sins..you can always ask for forgiveness, for our creator Allah is Most Merciful Most Generous. And he wants to forgive us but we must ask for it. The choice is yours.

To understand what the truth of God's word is in this regard you need to consider his thoughts as recorded in the bible?
First lets consider what it says about the Resurrection?
(Acts 24:15) 15Â and I have hope toward God, which hope these [men] themselves also entertain, that there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous.
(John 5:25-29) . . .“Most truly I say to YOU, The hour is coming, and it is now, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God and those who have given heed will live. 26 For just as the Father has life in himself, so he has granted also to the Son to have life in himself. 27 And he has given him authority to do judging, because Son of man he is. 28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice 29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
The first thing to consider is where is the resurrection?
Earth or Heaven?
Sounds like earth! Another thing to consider is what Jesus said at Mathew 5:5,and his earthly forefather King David said at Psalms 37:9-11,29.
We might might want to consider if we are eligible?
Zephaniah 2:2,3

You would rather burn in Hell than be with God?
That is basically what you just said.
It's true that some people who call themselves Christians are very mean. But if they truly were saved and you do see them in Heaven, I doubt you would ever thing of how much you didn't like them. Or how mean they were. Because they won't be mean in Heaven. Everyone will be perfect.
So, get over it. Because God is Greater.

Yes. If they were as mean as you say, then perhaps they won't be in heaven when you get there. If they are, I believe, that they feel all the joy and all the sorrow they caused people in their mortal life. At least, they'll understand what you've been through because of them.

I know I'll see my mother. She was a Christian and I know she went home to God. Her last words were "God is calling me home, He says it's time". I am not really bothered about other relatives. I just wanna be reunited with my mom when my time comes which I hope it's not anytime soon. God Bless!

Murazor, who knows? It sounds to me from Scripture that heaven is such an awesome, amazing place, nobody would ever think about being mean. And besides, it's probably so huge, you could choose to ignore them if you wanted! lol

Yes, we will all be reunited. Family members will be there as well. IMHO it is impossible to be "mean" in heaven. Bygones will be bygones.
