I have an infinity amp under my passenger seat, is it possible to connect my speaker box (two 12's) to that amp? I want to leave the infinity system and add mine to it? Is that possible and where do I begin?

I do have a Alpine amp that came from my previous car that goes to my subs. My system sounded wonderful and people always asked where I got it installed (I love saying I did it). I normally take out the entire factory-this time I want to leave it and that is what confuses me. I am learning as I go. :)

You cannot use the factory Infinity amplifier to run your subwoofers. You can, however, use a line-out converter to provide a signal for an after-market amplifier to run your subs.

I believe that amp is a 4 channel for the front and rear speakers. You can always add to a system, just need tom find a different amp to connect to the subwoofers. If your not going ear drum blowing loud, then you can get something small that would add to the music you allready have in the car.

Possible, but Ghetto as all get out. If you can help it, never piece a system together for a car, it will ruin your sound, factory sound is vastly better than most pieced together sound options. If you want more sound than that, and you don't want it to sound bad(muddy, tinny, distorted, etc.) go out and get a matched system for your car. This will include all stereo components(Radio/CD-player/tape-deck, Amplifier, and Speakers) and it will provide the same or better sound your "stock" stereo does now, just louder. If you go your way, it's gonna sound like junk, sell the extra junk you got to some other G-ed out dummy.
