As I see it you have the X73 but no installation discs. That happened to me and I tried using the Lexmark site but didn't really know what I was doing. Solution was:- Looked on Ebay for same printer advertised for next to nothing, possibly broken. Made sure seller had discs, won the item, told him to mail the discs and dump the printer! Two years on still going strong.

Hello:
Frist thing is to go to http://search.lexmark.com/printer/US/en/10J0285
Then toward the bottom you must choose what Operating System you have. Once you click on the Operating System you should be able to download it.
Once everything is downloaded, install it, then reboot your computer. I'd recommend doing all this with the computer disconnected. Once all is done, plug the printer into the computer, and then power up. You should be good to go.

click on the link then click on your operating system. When the file is downloaded , click on run and it will setup for you.
