I know a lot of nice employed intelligent single guys. There not overweight or slobs eithers. Wile so many woman are married to abusive, selfish jerks.

Women have really high standards... and when they get desperate they take what they can get- lol sounds bad but i've seen people around be fall like that- Alot of women dont like to be alone! They will take anythign they can.
Depends on the woman though! I'd stay single before i'd just settle- I've been wit a guy thats treated me like a doormat and all it takes is 1 and then the expectations go up! LOL
ALso alot of Nice Employed Intelligent guys are alot more selfish, and Egotistical then you'd think! But everyone is different! lol

It can seem that way from both sides. I suppose it has to do with how they're looking or what they're looking for in a man. I live in an area where single men greatly outnumber single women and yet I hear women here say it quite a bit also.
Part of the problem for both genders is that people so often lie about what they're looking for. We almost always find what we're looking for we just don't realize we were looking for a jerk
Show me a person who complains that they're only finding jerks and I'll show you someone who is going out of their way to find jerks but won't admit it.

Because the women always want to take the jerks and think that they can change them into what they want in a man.
Doesn't work.
And then, the old adage, "nice guys finish last" still stands as the law of the land.
The nice guys are the ones the women all want to be "friends" with. So all those guys you know have a bunch of friends that are girls, but no girlfriends.
(or they are gay).

I'd like to meet some of these guys! All I have found are gay, married, drunks, druggies, exconvicts and anything but a good guy. No, I'm not looking in the wrong places either. I found them at work, church, and through friends never at bars. It really sucks out there.

Because alot of them go for looks and end up finding a jerk. They don't look for personality or for a guy that will treat them right. My girlfriend loves me because she knows I will treat her right and because of my personality. She also knows that I've got plans for myself so I will do good in life.

Because they have bad luck in finding good men. I believe it takes stepping out of your usual comfort zone in order to actually find the right person.
