Hi, i have always been better at english than math. I am a very good speller but math and reading comprehension is tough for me. I have noticed that alot of people are good at math but can't do english or spell very well...is there any connection here? Does this mean my "logic" skills are weaker since math is based on logic? Any advise would be appreciated.

about 10 15 years ago all the teacher re-training sessions were on the 7 multiple intelligences. The last time I paid attention there were about 15 multiple intelligences. Each person has areas stronger than others, but those who are low at math can work harder reading.

Its very good that you fluent English speaker,i been through the same phase once where i thought i was pretty good at English and weak in Math,i believe creative mind has a lot to do with being good at English so just go with the flow and keep doing whatever you usually do to enhance your English, when you grow up your communication skills matter a lot so your fluency in English will help you there,as for Math, until i got to a point when i realized Math could open a lot of doors for me i paid good attention at it,went through the basics, learned as many formulas as i could and practiced everyday, thats all you need to do to be good in math,1>knowing formula 2>Practice everyday, once you do that you will realize you get marks even if you solve half the problem and once you start scoring in math you will start liking it,combined with you English communication skills and your math skills you will be eligible to get the best of jobs available in future.Good Luck

Hmm. Well everyone has their own way of thinking correct? So math just might not be your specialty and English could. I'm very good at English, getting A's every time. And math is quite well for me, too seeming I got into advanced math. So I guess it would all have to depend on the person and how their brain works.

Me, I think it means you are yourself - a unique person with a unique set of strong and weak points. Maybe there is some sort of inverse correlation between verbal and math skills, but it seems to be a weak one if it exists. I've seen plenty of people who are good at both or bad at both. I wouldn't worry about it. Anyway, you can aalways improve any skill with practice - you may not become expert, but you can certainly become competent.
