The laws of Kashruth (Kosher) were generally health-related. Remember when they were instituted, there were no such things as refrigerators, and science had no idea about germs, mold, desiese, etc.
Pork was forbidden, I believe, because of the risk of trychinosis (sp?).
This understanding of kashruth does not preclude observation of the laws in modern times; for many people keeping kosher is a way of honoring thier ancestors and thier covenant with God.

Ages ago, pigs had a parasite that could be passed on to humans if pork was not cooked well done. It got into the muscles of humans. Back then, you were taking a big chance eating pork. The same is not true anymore. Pork is perfectly safe to eat. People of the time knew of the many dangers of some foods and included those dangers when they wrote the bible. The koran was taken from the bible. Both are nothing more than a means to control people.
Muslims got stuck in time, about 1500 years ago, so they not learned anything much less information about pork. They say it's an unclean animal when actually, the opposite is true. They are much cleaner and a whole lot more intelligent than a cow.

It's not just pigs that are biblically un-clean.
But considering that hogs/pigs eat anything and everything like a garbage disposal the meat is tainted, and un-healthy to eat. At least for human consumption anyway. As is some fish (bottom feeders), shell fish, and other critters. With everything that these creatures eat - it's disgusting and nasty. It builds up poisons, and toxins in the human organs. Especially the liver which is the humans filtering system. But because we do not have the stomach acidity that is needed to digest those foods as pigs, bottom feeders, shell fish, and vultures have, it's really eating everything they have when they are consumed by humans.
Think of how healthier people would be if they changed their eating habits, and stopped eating these "foods" altogether.

Leviticus 11:27 (New International Version)
27 Of all the animals that walk on all fours, those that walk on their paws are unclean for you; whoever touches their carcasses will be unclean till evening.

The pig is considered an unclean animal by the cultures in the Old Testament. I'm not sure if why is directly stated, but the Jews of that time had to make distinctions in what they ate and put in their bodies when it came to animals, and had high standards for being "clean." Pigs could not be eaten because they were considered unclean. It was a matter of the faith and discipline of that time.
I believe God was teaching Jews by that practice, to be careful what they ate and to understand the concept of clean vs. unclean. When Jesus' time came around, he taught about spiritual uncleanliness to get people out of focusing on food. He and Paul later taught that God can make food clean, so they were free to eat those animals such as the pig.

It's unclean. I do not eat it. Read up on pigs and you will understand the logic.
In the book of Leviticus, chapter 11, v. 7, it is recorded that God declares the pig to be unclean for believers. Then, in
verse 8, God says: “You must not eat their meat or touch their carcasses; they are unclean for you”. This command is
repeated in Deuteronomy 14:7-8. Then, in Isaiah 65:2-4, and 66:17, God issues a stern warning against those who
eat pork.

Eating pork is not wrong.
The Torah requirement to keep kosher only applies to Jews, ans Muslims simply borrowed heavily from Judaism.
The kosher requirement is one of the 613 laws Jews have to follow. The rest of humanity only has to follow 7 laws.
For more information about the 7 laws, look here:

give me a break! A pig isnt any filthier to eat than any other animal. What the other species all take showers and practice good hygiene? Its a matter of choice and besides its not one of the 10 commandments. Men wrote the bible? Subjective material people open to many forms of interpretations, so lets all get a grip. Yes I do believe in Jesus and God, this is just my interpretation so don't get your pants in a knot. Free thought, free speech and all....

I'm assuming your diabetic right? Low blood sugar doesn't mean you have to eat a lot, you need to eat the right things to sustain your sugar levels for longer. You shouldn't need to be snacking constantly, if you do, you're not doing something right. Have a decent meal before things get intimate, or at least have a sugary snack so you don't have to disturb things. I'm diabetic, and I don't need to constantly snack. You just need to learn what amounts you can eat, and you won't need to constantly snack. In fact, that's bad for you. You're best to have regular meals and a small snack in between if you need it. What you're doing isn't really wrong, but I can see why your boyfriend wouldn't be too happy about it. If you must eat during sex, incorporate food into your foreplay, chocolate/cream etc.
