There is no such thing as "immediate" weight loss.

No junk/fast food and no sodas or other sugar beverages is a start. But you still have to eat healthy and you still have to exercsie if you want to lose weight. If you eat/drink a lot of that garbage and all you did was cut them out and nothing else...in a year you may lose about 15 lbs.

Fats & sweets of course, but an even bigger culprit is salt. You wouldn't believe how much weight we carry is water weight due to too much salt. Most 'convience' foods are loaded it with & then we add more! This means fast food, cold cuts, canned veggies, most soda.....cut out your salt for a week and watch what happens. God Luck!

Non fruit/veggie carbs. Ideal fat purging diets usually consist of about 35% protein - 10% carbs - 55% healthy fats. ALL those carbs should come from fruits/veggies.

Calculate your basal metabolic rate, then set your calorie limit lower than what your body needs to sustain its mass. Only set it as low as you can handle without getting so hungry that you end up binging/overeating. You should drink only water and green tea.

Junk food (fats, refined sugar and white flour). Omitting any one food group from the diet such as carbs is not good. The key is moderation and burning more calories than you consume.

Lay off the dairy and sugars and high fats. Find a way to invest yourself in raw foods. Don't go to the grain when you can't have the dairy. Place an embargo on all sugar for 3mo, you'll get plenty of it through other foods.

I cut back on white bread (have wheat instead), candy, pasta, chips, salty foods, cereal, soda and don't go to fast food places. That is all I can think of. Good Luck (-:
