We've been together for a little more than a year. Still very happy with each other, and young enough for it to not be a sex drive issue. but neither of us has been really interested in sex lately we'd rather cuddle or just spend time together. I'm thinking it might be stress since her family has recently informed her that they don't want her dating me or even talking to me anymore. any ideas would be great....and of course, any ideas on dealing with it. thanks =D

I think it's pretty natural to go through times where you simply don't have as pressing a desire for each other. My husband and I tend to go in phases - or at least I do. :O) He always seems to be up for it! Anyway, it may never again be like it was in the beginning, but you can bet that things will heat up again if you stay together. And having some time where you are just together and learning to truly know each other isn't a bad thing. Enjoy it and don't be too concerned. Especially if both of you are on the same page. The family thing is tough. Keep the lines of communication open. Even if she doesn't allow her family to control her life - their opinions probably make an impression and things can get tense in such situations. But if you can stick together and see it through, you'll both be stronger. Good luck!

Friendship and love go hand in hand sometimes and often a little confusing. but it sounds like your both comfortable with each other and spending time together is the most important thing right now.....don't sweat it...there could be some guilt on her part with the family issue...Just hang in there and let nature take it's course and what ever happens it seems you'll still have a friend at the end....

Once you're in a long-term relationship, you develop your own sexual rhythm. It always seems to be much less than you thought it would be, but it's because you've both become comfortable with each other and sex is no longer the 'new toy'. The key thing is that BOTH of you are happy with the relationship being this way. If not, that's when you have to see it as a problem and try to resolve it.

If you're happy and she's happy, all is well.

Plan a weekend away at some place nice and romantic. The change will do you good.

Don't worry. You will have periods like this through the years but something will trigger passion again.

Or, maybe the lust is just starting to burn itself out from it's formerly frenzied pace? Stress would also have a lot to do with it. Don't push it -- or else you'll run the risk of looking like sex is the ONLY thing that matters to you. Enjoy the opportunity to explore other facets of your relationship!

IT SOUNDS LIKE YOU ENTERED THE COMFORTABLE STAGE WHERE YOU LOVE EACH DEARLY BUT EVERYTHING IS LIKE PREDICTABLE. DO SOMETHING SPONTANEOUS AND ROMANTIC. JUST EXPERIMENT BUT MAKE SURE YOU ARE BOTH COMFORTABLE WITH EVERY EXPERIMENT OR YOU ARE IN FOR SOME TROUBLED TIMES. GOOD COMMUNICATION IS THE KEY IN ANY RELATIONSHIP. SO TALK IT OUT BUT ALSO DO SOMETHING SPONTANEOUS AND ROMANTIC THAT WILL SHOCK YOUR LOVER AND LIGHT BACK UP THE SEX DRIVE BUT MAKE SURE WHAT YOU DO, WON'T UPSET YOUR LOVER BUT GIVE HER A NICE SURPRISE. ALSO SHOW HER FAMILY THAT YOU ARE RIGHT FOR THEIR DAUGHTER AND IF THEY CAN'T ACCEPT IT, ASK THEM IF THEY DON'T CARE ABOUT HER HAPPINESS. ALL YOU CAN DO IS TO CONTINUE LOVING HER RIGHT AND HOPEFULLY IT WILL EVENTUALLY SINK IN THEIR HEADS THAT YOU ARE PERFECT FOR HER.

I think you shouldn't be concerned with the sex right now; it probably has something to do woth the stress, so sex shouldnt be you top priority at the moment.

Are you a boy?

if there is no sex drive btween both of you but like each other , it means you become friends.

why you feel stressed , why bother? dont give a **** to what they might think of you.

Love is where love exists.

Even the best roller coaster can get old after a years worth of rides. Its normal to look for something different for entertainment. Maybe you should talk to him about it and see if there is anything else he wants?
