YES it is and it DOES work just as long as you do have some carbs i have been on a low carb diet for 4 months and exercesing 6 days a week and have lost 20 pounds. Change from white bread to whole wheat bread i get the natures own double fiber bread, and to brown rice, wheat pasta if you MUST have that in you diet. The good thing about this is that you can have all the meat you want so stack up on some bake chicken, pork chops , grilled chicken, fish and ground turkey and dont forget your VEGGIES!!!

Yes, and actually preferable to the garbage most Americans are used to. The government's food guide pyramid, especially the old one was crap.

You should eat about 4 times as many veggies as most people. Proper carb intake and timing is essential for keeping a lean, healthy body. And don't forget, sugar is a carb...and it seems to get into almost everything in this country. The key is to eat very fresh. Most of your food should have an expiration date within a couple weeks (assuming you aren't freezing anything).

Yes, as long as it's low and not no. And make your carbs count, like veggies, not bread, pasta, rice, etc. And drink a lot of water, since the extra protein load puts work on your kidneys.

not really. and on the downside you won't lose much weight in the long run.

when you reduce your carbs by too much, your body holds onto anything you put into it, and will not burn fat but instead go for muscle.

also, your body cannot lose more than 2lbs of fat per week.
