HP sauce is the best steak sauce out there. I never knew it was a Canadian product until now. There really is nothing like it up here in the Great White North. It's readily available at any supermarket.

I just looked up HP Sauce at Wikipedia, and it seems that we have something very similar. It's called Heinz 57 sauce. Most people eat it with meats (esp. steak). It's sweet yet savory at the same time. Is this sort of like HP Sauce?

Apparently, it cannot be purchased anywhere now. According to the BBC, production of HP sauce ended in March 2007.

I'm sure there is an equivalent local brand (of brown sauce) available. HP is manufactured by Heinz so maybe you should check their website

The current US system means that the poor miss out and the rich get treated. And yet the US still has lower average health care outcomes compared to countries that use mixed (public & private) systems. Systems like the ones in most of Europe, Australia, Japan, New Zealand mean that the poor get treatment and the rich still get to choose to use private care if they want. And the average level of care is higher, while the overall cost is lower. What's not to like? Of course, there are losers in those sorts of systems, but the biggest losers are the medical insurance companies. Personally, I don't care about them having a harder time.

Give us a clue. If it can't be bought here then what is "HP Sauce"?

It may be marketed under different names in the U.S. - many products are sold like this. Example: the designer, Chanel, also sells a line of make up in the U.K. under the name of Bourjois, but it's practically a state secret that Chanel makes it.
