which is more important, if you call yourself a Christian or you support a homeless shelter? if you call yourself a Witch or you heal the sick? if yourself a pagan or you recycle?

Its the actions of course.
Have you actually stopped to wonder how long your title would really be if you included all of your labels?
My sister in law and i do much the same things in life ..in fact in deeds there is not much difference between the two of us....only our titles and what they entail set us apart. She is a christian, who also works with herbs and oils...she just calls it natural therapies! I am a Wiccan who calls it whitching! She worships her god and i worship my own. We both have a genuine love for people and seek to help. We both respect and care for Giaia...she just wont use that name.....
You see its not where the deed comes from that matters...I'ts just that we never loose faith in what makes us do it in the first place!
Blessed Be Sister....

Self labels are often meaningless. Look at any compulsive liar and they will tell everyone they are otherwise. Judge a person by their actions and never their words. Being responsible to ones words shows what used to be called character. Watch out for anyone claiming they are correct without offering any reason or proof of their statements. Individuals help and support in different ways. Some help targets humanity, some wish to help an individual, some help small groups.

Actions speak louder than words.

I've never understood how one can call one's self an environtmentalist and still eat meat. Factory farms are the number one thing destroying this planet.

I've never understood how one can call one's self an animal rescuer and still eat meat. 12 billion animals are slaughtered in factory farms each year - in the US alone. 10% of those die painful slow deaths before even getting to the slaughter house. We live to such excess in this world, that's considered an acceptable loss.

While children in this world go hungry - other nations sell us their grain and water to fuel our desire for flesh.

My "devout" Catholic auntie is all about jewels and new clothes. She lives in a million dollar home but puts only ONE dollar in the collectin during mass. She gets angry when ever someone in the family asks her to help. Yet my little pagan cousin is poor, yet generous with the little she has and very conscious of the needs of others. I don't drive. She's always the first to offer to pick me up from the bus stop for family gatherings.

A label is a label, but actions are the person. So, I look at a persons actions, becuase weather they are Christian, Pagen, Islam, ext. they can still be a good or a bad person.

Actions speak louder than words.

Actually, I believe a person is judged more by the CONGRUENCY of their words and actions than by either separately.

Labels don't mean anything. Actions speak louder than words.

The tongue of your shoe and the tongue in your mouth need to go the same direction. Actions are far louder and certainly more meaningful.

I don't care what a person calls themselves. I am only interested in actions and deeds.
