I had a dream last night that I was at a picnic with a bunch of people. I only remember two people in the dream. One is my friend (that I like) and the other is his girlfriend. The weird thing was they sat near each other but did not talk at all. What on earth does this mean?

well do you know if they have been having troubles with their relationship? maybe it represents those troubles, and maybe it won't last much longer. if that does happen, don't jump on your friend, comfort him and give him some time. don't get him on the rebound.

I'm sorry to disappoint you, but your dreams are not predicting the future or telling you how to live your life or anything like that. Dreams are just what you perceive as your brain rearranges and 'defrags' the new memories it has accumulated while you were awake. However strange your dream may seem to you, there is no kind of supernatural interference involved.

This sounds a lot like a jealousy dream. Even though you may not acknowledge it or even realize it, but it may be that you are jealous of his girlfriend and you think that you are the only one who can be with him and she is inadequate.

It means you desperately want to be with him, but are having difficuly picturing him without her. I would guess that even when you see him sans the dream world, you have difficulty not thinking (if not at least fleetingly) of her.
