Try taking a look at your personal life. It sounds like you feel trapped in a situation that is out of your control and you don't think you have any alternatives. Find out what PART of your life this is referring to -- work, personal relationship, etc. -- and find alternatives to fix that situation. Once you do that, the dream should stop.

You are Worried about being Powerless against a some Situation in your Life. Every Exit you can Think of, is Suddenly Blocked.
Sounds like more likely to be a Home based worry, since it is a Sleeping place, but could be Work or Relationships, as it is Not your Room (external).

I have read that dreams are connected to happenings or feelings in your own life. Take the dream piece by piece and think of what you can relate it to. Being trapped might be something that relates to a job you hate but can't get out of or maybe a relationship problem. There are a lot of great books out that define many types of dreams. I know for me certain foods I eat before bed can trigger weird dreams, some good, some bad. Good luck! I know it can be scary.

I used to get this kind of dreams when I was overplaying Max Payne on my PC in 2002.
If you have ever played Max Payne 1, then you would have noticed the cutscenes from a level where Max is running from Don Punchinellos Hotel. I think the level name was 'Put off my flames with water'

To see a hotel in your dream, signifies a new state of mind or a shift in personal identity. You need to move away from your old habits and old way of thinking. To see a hot air balloon in your dream, represents positive progress toward your goals.
Depending on the context of your dream, to see fire in your dream can symbolizes destruction, passion, desire, illumination, transformation, enlightenment, or anger. It may suggest that something old is passing and something new is entering your life. Your thoughts and views are changing. In particular, if the fire is under control or contained in one area, it is a metaphor of your own internal fire and inner transformation. It also represents your drive and motivation. To dream of that you are being burned by fire, indicates that your temper is getting out of control. Some issue or situation is burning you up inside. To dream that a house is on fire, signifies passion and loving companions. To dream that you put out a fire, signifies that you will overcome your obstacles in your life through much work and effort.
To dream that you are frightened at anything, denotes temporary and fleeting worries.
To dream that you are affrighted, forewarns that you will be injured as a result of some accident. To see others affrighted in your dream denotes that you will be unexpectedly confronted with a miserable and distressing situation.

It's an anxiety dream.
Sounds like you're feeling trapped somewhere in your life (in a bad job, or relationship, or place you don't want to live). Or that you're reliving a trauma.
Dreams are usually metaphors for other things happening in our lives. Something we need to resolve. Think about what this metaphor could mean, then work to take care of it in your awake life.

If I were to interpret this dream, I would say, in the waking world, you feel trapped and you want out before you are burned up (or out, as it were).
Try to find what situation in your life that may be causing such a feeling, resolve it, and see if the dream goes away.

Obviously there is something in your life that is out of your control and you feel that there is no escape. You should try finding out what that is so that you can either get rid of it, or come to terms with it so that your mind can have a little rest. Good luck with that one. I hope your window isn't too high up!
