Okay my husband and I have been trying to conceive for a while now ( about 5 months). For the last few months I have been using ovulation tests. Now, I have never had a problem with before. I have been using them regularly every 3-4 days regardless of a positive or negative result. Now, here is the thing....Exactly two weeks ago tomorrow I got a super strong positive....it stayed like this for two days, my hubby and I did our thing and then I went back to getting negatives....perfectly normal right?? Well for some odd reason this morning I thought just for kicks I'm going take one....I was sure it would be negative being that I ovulated two weeks ago...but no...it was a super strong positive!! What the heck?!?! How can I get a positive ovulation test two weeks ago..then a bunch of negatives and another + two weeks later....what gives?? I know I don't have PCOS or anything like that...Why would they do this??

there could be a strong possibilty that you are pregnant and it is too early to tell when i had my son i did the same thing you did and got the same results how ever the funny thing was is i was 5 and a half months pregnant when i finally knew i was pregnat , also scince you are trying to concieve and want a child so much it could put stress on your body that it dont need so dont think act and relax and let it come natural

If you ovulated two weeks ago, your period should be due soon right?

SOMETIMES, you can use ovulation tests as pregnancy tests. Perhaps you are pregnant?!?

You can get more information on this by doing an internet search, or checking out http://www.PeeOnAStick.com . Ovulation tests to detect pregnancy are only valid, I believe, if the test line is as dark as or darker than the control line. And, it is not always accurate. But it could be the case here! I hope so since you have been trying!

Update this to let us know!

Take a pregnancy test. Sometimes being pregnant will alter the results of your ovulation test...

Some girls even use the ovulation test instead of a home pregnancy test...

Heres hoping!

Ovulation tests detect the LH surge, which is a hormone that is very similar to the HCG hormone. This means that these test can pick up the pregnancy hormone as well. I'd say you are pregnant.

Boy, I have no idea. Our bodies do crazy things and nothing is ever "normal." So, under usual circumstances, you should be getting your period about now if you have a 28 day cycle. I'd be patient and see what happens next. Good luck.
