Give a man meat and potatoes and he's a HAPPY CAMPER..... why not go very simple and get a prime rib or two of beef. Men LOVE it and it is the most tender cut of beef I've EVER had!!!! You cook it like a roast---cover it with garlic powder OR fresh garlic cloves chopped up and sprinkled over the top of the ribs.. These are NOT spare ribs--they are PRIME RIBS... pop it in the oven for about 30 minutes a pound... should be only SLIGHTLY pink on the inside when done UNLESS your boy likes his meat WELL done.. Then, steam some fresh veggies.. You can dress it up a bit by making creamed BABY PEARL Onions---cream sause of 1 tablespoon flour, 1/4 stick of butter and 2 cups of milk...STIR on medium heat and add baby pearl onions that you've purchased in the frozen veggie section.. keep stiring until sauce thickens---serve in a small bowl.. Delicious!!!! You can also make mashed potatoes as well. A nice simple yet elegant meal that your husband will LOVE!!! For dessert, make a chocolate cake and make some chocolate pudding. after the cake bakes and COOLS, get a bowl and crumble a layer abotu 1in of cake crumbs on the bottom---cover the cake with a layer of the chocolate pudding and top THAT with either a layer of COOL WHIP or real whipped cream and keep layer--cake, pudding, whipped cream until you fill the bowl or use up all the cake ...top with whipped cream and chill... serve COLD... I've made this PLENTY of times and EVERYONE loves it and it's simple as can be.

Dear Zara,
I love this recipe because it's very easy and very good.
You don't want to spend all your time in the kitchen.
In a sauce pan, saute in butter and olive oil green onions and decent sized shrimp until shrimp are slightly pink.
Add garlic, parsley, pimento and continue cooking for 2-3 mins.Add about 1/2 C parmesan cheese and 1/4 C cream or half and half. Cook a couple mins. longer and serve over angel hair pasta.
Serve a nice salad and crusty bread with this and enjoy.
This is not a heavy meal so he won't be too full to "snuggle" later!
Happy Anniversary!

8 June? You mean 8 July?
No, no, no. No dinner at home.
Dinner at home is Monday through Friday. Wedding anniversary is celebration time.
Make reservations somewhere they have a dress code. Concentrate your efforts on a perfect manicure/pedicure, careful make-up and freshly cut and styled hair.
Back at home after the dinner, get stylishly comfortable with something you bought ahead of time, nothing he's seen you in before and concentrate on pleasing your spouse. You'd be surprised how pleasing that is to you. Oh, and the bonus? No dishes, just a couple of drink glasses.

Hi! Well, it depends on what you enjoy... If you like italian food, I would say making some sort of pasta with meat sauce, and maybe some mircrowave veetables would be a nice quick 15 minute dinner. If you like mexican..tacos would be a great and quick alternative! You could even add some tomatoes and lettuce and as many sides as you would like. If your kids are picky eaters I would recommend maybe making some microwave chicken nuggets and give them some fresh fruit and milk with that. These are just a few quick yummy and easy suggestion! Hope I helped!! ~Lily

The best recipe I know is for a dessert called "Sea Foam Chews" but I don't know it if off the top of my head so I am going to copy and paste it if I can find it online...
Here's the link: http://www.therecipebox.com/members/box/cookie/cookie030.htm
They are the yummiest things ever. As for the dinner, chicken has always been a simple classic.

this recipe is pretty simple, and quick to make, but very good.
grilled tilapia:
4 tilapia fillets
Lawry's garlic and herb marinade
dash of old bay seasoning
lay the fish fillets in a glass baking dish and pour enough marinade over the fish to coat.
add in a small sprinkle of old bay seasoning.
let the fish marinade in the fridge for a half hour to an hour.
put the fish on a medium temperature grill, and flip it once the fish is browned on one side. let the other side get browned and set it on a plate once it finished cooking. this fish doesn't take long to cook. maybe 20-25 minutes max.
this fish is great on the grill with plenty of flavor. you can add any type of sides and salad you want to compliment this meal.

This is my hubby's fav. I make it every Anniv. and he loves it. I also make some bread and salad with it
Chicken Francese
4 skinless, boneless, chicken breasts (about 11/2 pounds)
All-purpose flour, for dredging
salt and ground black pepper
3 large eggs
3 tablespoons water
1/4 cup extra-virgin olive oil
1/2 lemon, with rind, cut in thin rounds
1/2 cup dry white wine, such as Pinot Grigio
1 cup chicken broth
1/2 lemon, juiced
2 tablespoons unsalted butter
1/4 cup chopped flat-leaf parsley
Put the chicken breasts side by side on a cutting board and lay a piece of plastic wrap over them. Pound the chicken breasts with a flat meat mallet, until they are about 1/4-inch thick. Put some flour in a shallow platter and season with a fair amount of salt and pepper; mix with a fork to distribute evenly. In a wide bowl, beat the eggs with 3 tablespoons of water to make an egg wash. Heat the oil over medium-high flame in a large skillet.
Dredge both sides of the chicken cutlets in the seasoned flour, and then dip them in the egg wash to coat completely, letting the excess drip off. When the oil is nice and hot, add the cutlets and fry for 2 minutes on each side until golden, turning once. Remove the chicken cutlets to a large platter in a single layer to keep warm.
Toss the lemon slices into the pan and cook for 1 to 2 minutes, until fragrant. Add the wine, broth, and lemon juice, simmer for 5 minutes to reduce the sauce slightly. Roll the butter in some flour and add it to the skillet, this will thicken the sauce. Stir to incorporate and dissolve the flour. Reduce the heat to medium-low and return the chicken to the pan; place the lemon slices on top of the cutlets. Simmer gently for 2 minutes to heat the chicken through. Season with salt and pepper and garnish with chopped parsley before serving.
HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!
