Nope. If you can't stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen...

No I don't fear overpowering someone with my answers. All I can do is be as honest as I can, talk from the heart & say what I feel. We are all on different stages of our spiritual journey & collectively, it is up to us all to help eachother as much as we can on that journey.
I think I know the type of answer you are referring to & Ive had a few of those in reply to my questions, but it's all part of it! If you do feel someone is becoming preachy, you don't have to take it on board. The choice is yours. All you can do is listen to what they say & thank them for their response. That's the interesting thing about putting questions out... you just get all sorts of replies! Dont be put off by the full on ones. The constructive, helpful & interesting ones always make up for it!
Blessings & love to you.

Even for those at the beginning of the journey, point to the Lord. His Word going out to others will accomplish His purposes.
This is a super medium to plant the Seed.
Don't grow weary in well doing!

Saying something in a nice way can make all the difference in the world.
No matter what your beliefs are, or lack thereof, being a jerk is likely to make people think poorly of your stance. Sadly, some people are so busy being right they don't think they need to be nice.

Well, I do try to avoid responding to people who make outrageous claims and are clearly not here to listen to anything else (typically Christians).
If I see a stupid question from a person who means well, I'll probably answer it kindly. But there aren't too many of those.

I understand your view. so many times we complain about ppl shoving their beliefs or lack their of down our throats. But when someone is looking for what belief system,if any, is right for them we cut off their search with our bitterness towards another. Throwing it at them, like they did something wrong by trying to find themselves something to believe in or not to believe in... turning them away from any belief or non-belief. Which is not relly helpfull either way. We are just creating more bitter ppl. that don't respect eachother based solely on opinion.

You're sooo right...
but I think you do notice whether the person asking the question is a jerk trying to be right, or someone really seeking an answer

In general, I try to be encouraging and informational in my replies, except when the vibe I get is that it's someone who's just looking to Wicca for the "k3wl powrz" that they want to get.

No.
I encourage rational thinking, so I encourage nothing except thinking and investigating for oneself rather than accepting anything on faith - the opposite of preaching.

if they are here to question, others are here to answer.
if those are here to answer others are here to question.
*shrug*
if they are at the beginning of the spiritual journy and they are here asking questions, then they are looking for answers so i see nothing wrong with answering them....
