I'm thinking of changing my 1997 Pontiac Sunfire stock audio head unit, but will a double-din Multimedia player fit in?
Is there any multimedia player which has the same dimension with my not so good looking stock CD player?

Thank you

Your stock radio is a 1.5 DIN. Replacement with a double-DIN unit would require some cutting, both of the front dash bezel and the sub-dash structure.

There are no 1.5 DIN multimedia players, but you could use a single-DIN flip-out unit with a mounting kit.

It's possible, but you'll have to cut your dash, if i'm not mistaken 97 gm vehicles had a 1.5 din radio opening. You may want to try jvc, they make a single din radio that you can fin in your vehicle (with a kit of course) and it has a 3.5 inch screen (I think, maybe 3 in) that does all the things a 2 din multimedia player does just with a smaller screen.

if it has the same length width and height then I would say yes. If you have the 1 din with the ac knobs below the cd player then, no
