My grandfather once upon a time had a working Mouser .22 Caliber single shot german training rifle. This was a training rifle used to train German Snipers during world war two and he also beleives it was used for training during world war one as well. Anyway, point being. His son, my uncle, ruined the rifle. All he has in usable condition is one of the barrels. He is interested in finding a place to purchase a whole new rifle, or at least the parts needed to refurbish what he has. Anyone able to point us in the right direction?

If that's not exactly what you're looking for, that site, or that person may be able to help you.

You also sometimes see these rifles, used, in publications like "Cheaper than Dirt" (they have a website, too.)

I in simple terms regarded at my DWM Chilean Mauser sort 1895. it fairly is thoroughly unique and chambered for 7x57mm. There are no longer any high quality markings everywhere on it. The 1895 is a average modification of the 1893 Spanish Mauser. The have been made via Ludwig and Lowe and then DWM in Germany. The ninety 3 became the provider rifle used via the Spanish interior the 1898 war in Cuba and the ninety 5 became used via Chili and the Boers in South Africa. it is the 1st of the Mausers with a staggered magazine designed to extra healthful flush with the backside of the inventory A ninety 5 mauser in 308 is re barreled to that high quality because of the fact the 308 cartridge dates from the Nineteen Fifties.

I personally collect German WWII .22 caliber training rifles and have for many years now. They are HIGHLY collect able, rare to find in good condition and very expensive to buy in today's market. I have 6 that I have purchased thru the years and the cheapest one I was able to obtain was $300 (15) years ago, the most expensive $1200.00 20 years ago.......Parts are next to impossible to find and in most cases need to be handmade by a Gunsmith or qualified machinist. There is a website called Gunboards.com that has a forum for buyers, sellers and parts for these .22 military training rifles.I wouldn't get your hopes up though. Original Mauser parts if found sell for many times what other gun parts sell for and are incredibly rare.Good Luck!

Numrich Arms, West Hurley, NY. aka guns parts corporation. You might also check out GUNSAMERICA; I believe I saw a 22 training rifle there last time I was perusing the site.

try 'numerich arms" for parts. Many good gunsmiths can rebuild a lot of things that you might think ruined. Don't throw any thing away. Take it all in to be checked by a reputable gunsmith.
Good luck.
