You guys kill me... haha

Most of your ancestors were dirt poor peasants who couldn't cut it in Europe, so they came with their 15 kids to grab some free land.
America was begging for skilled Euros to come and in 1946 America brought over hundreds of Nazi scientists to help develop the country even though US law prohibits people who belonged to the Nazi party from entering.

And now you guys wonna sit here and act like you did some kind of major moves. You're riding high on the accomplishment of other countries.

Mexicans only want to work and are humble.

"Most of your ancestors were dirt poor peasants who couldn't cut it in Europe, so they came with their 15 kids to grab some free land."

Most europeaners came in the late 1800's and early 1900's. Yes, they were dirt poor. Most were semi skilled or unskilled. At that time the economy was dominated by manufacturing, and that job sector required lil skill but an army of workers. At that time Immigration laws were non-existant or very racist in nature. Baring people were were disabled or from unworthy countries.

Yes the usa was in contest with russia in bring over nazi scientests. Most of our early rocket technology and early nuclear technology is due in part to them. Though like most german intellectuals, they were not a willing partner of the nazi war machine. But his area of study was need by the Nazi's, so he was not imprisoned to the degree that other intellectuals were. The law that that orginal person is refering to did not differencate between a willing or an unwilling Nazi participant.

Nice strawman argument. Americans aren't anti-immigrant. We're pro-immigration policy that is balanced and sensible. Undoubtedly America, and more importantly, the world has benefitted from American immigrants achieving monumental successes. We don't even mind foreign cultural elements working their way, naturally, into our culture. An America without St.Patrick's Day, pizza, Peking duck, etc... would be tragic, imho. However, today there is only one foreign culture in America's mainstream who won't assimilate: Spanish-speaking. There are no signs in Gaelic, Italian or Chinese in every American city, only Spanish. This influx of new people is too many, too fast. All illegals should be deported, then Spanish-speaking immigrants should be legally allowed to become citizens at the same rate as all other nationalities, and that rate should be a trickle, not a flood.

If you amigos are so friggin perfect, then why not straighten out your own country!! Oh that's right, there is no welfare system in Mexico. You want the way of life that we have created, yet you hate us. Stick to something that you know, like digging ditches and making tortillas for your fat greasy wives. Of course you would love to have a nice American woman.........loser!!!!
Yeah, you sound real humble
Name one thing that a Mexican ever invented, I only know of one thing, besides tortillas. An honest to god invention. Your so stupid, you don't even know what that was!!

Actually my ancestors owned a rather large house in England, which is now a mental health facility. Yea, they did have a lot of kids, but when you've got 600 acres to tend without machinery, you need as many hands as you can get. And the land was bought legally, at least by 18th century standards.
And some of those working Mexicans are also drunk drivers who murder Americans. So I ask, don't we have enough drunk drivers already without importing them from elsewhere?
Your generalizations only serve to prove your ignorance.

It's very simple- we have laws in place now. I couldn't just hop a plane to London and decide to work and live in England indefinitely. There are controls in place, and to circumvent these controls is illegal. This isn't 1700 anymore, you don't just land on some exotic shore and build a log cabin and hunt bear. These immigrants want free education, health care, etc., etc... in modern society, we offer a lot of benefits and services to people, so there has to be controls in place regarding who's eligible. We can't just have people pouring into our borders to get in on the act. There's a legal way to go about becoming an America, and if you don't play by the rules, you don't deserve amnesty.

Times have changed since 1700 and 1800s and 1900s when immigrants come to America. We have a lot of drugs that come into the US by way of mexico .We have aright to protect ourselves and our Borders! Come in the legal way not illegal way.
There are a lot of people who want to destroy the US. Mexico does not really like the US . Do you know what the Alamo was about? Maybe people need to go back to school and study their history before they decide.History repeats itself and known fact! Are we going to repeat ourselves again? We do not seem to learn what we have done in the past!
You go to Mexico and see what your rights are as an US Citizen in Mexico? So study your HISTORY!! And understand it OK!

If Mexicans only want to work and remain humble, as you say, then they can either work to better themselves in their own country, or enter the U.S LEGALLY. I've lived and worked in Mexico, and there's no way I was allowed to do so illegally. As you probably know, Mexico has very strict immigration laws and if foreigners want to work there, they have to be approved to do so by Immigration. The immigration laws and work permits are designed to protect the Mexican worker so that their jobs aren't usurped by foreigners like me.
So, you have no right to sit in judgment of the United States. Perhaps it's you who should get off your high horse! Humble, my a**.

one america doesn't have a problem with immigrants. we are a nation of immigrants. the problem americans have are with illegal immigrants. people who come this this country illegally. illegal immigrants reap the benefits of this country without paying any of the costs. if you have a problem with the way of life in mexico the elect a government that will deal with the problem instead of pawning it off on the united states. if it's true that our economy can not thrive without the low wage mexicans working the the economy of mexico should be booming. th fact of the matter is that the exican government is corrupt. influenced by drug dealers and cartels. clean up your country then it is possible to have the life you want in your own country. if you still want to come to america then do it legally, assimulate, learn our language and follow our laws. america is the great melting pot. people full of pride and full of resolve. we are a nation of laws which means that not only its' citizens but visitors also must follow or be prosecuted to the full extent of the law. and finally, if it wasn't for the united states the world would be in peral. the united states bails countries out financially by giving aide, we feed the world. if we stop giving aide and feeding the world many countries would die off or be taken over by cruel ruthless regimes. if not for the U.S. the world would be under control of nazi germany, japan or communists who repress peoples freedom.

No, I think most americans are fine with immigration. It's the illegal part we have a problem with. If they would go thru all the processes that everyone else who enters this country go thru, then people wouldn't have such a problem with it. Back when our ancestors came, they didn't have things handed to them for free or have their language spoken to them because they couldn't understand english. They had to work hard to earn what they had, and they had to learn to speak the language of their new country. They didn't use multiple social security numbers to rack up checks from the government. They didn't exploit emergency rooms for free healthcare. They didn't earn money here and send it all back to their former country. The 2 scenarios are not at all parallel!
