Hi, I think I always believed in God, but I believed in a God who was there for my benefit and would take me to heaven if I was good enough. Wrong! Five years ago I met the real God, during a baptism service (I was supporting a friend) and I just knew Jesus was there, I felt his presence. God finally became to me what He is, not what I thought He was or wanted him to be, and the reality is even better. I wasn't prayed for, never went to church, had rejected Christianity several times in the past, but yet at this service (on a beach) the pastor was talking about all the ways the world will try to tell you you can be happy, ie drugs, alchohol, shopping, sex. But there are record numbers of people on anti-depressents, so obviously these things aren't working. I was on those tablets at the time. I was very stirred in my soul and I raised my hand to be blessed by Jesus (very unlike me) and was instantly filled with the Holy Spirit, and instantly healed of depression too. Why not do an alpha course, you can ask any question you like on them and nobody will put a gun to your head and 'force' you to become a Christian, because true Christians know that only divine revelation can open your eye.

No, i don't believe in any form of 'higher being'. I was brought up Roman Catholic and was a regular at church until my late teens when i studied Philosophy for my first degree. From then on the only 'fact' that i could decipher was that there wasn't any proof of existence.
I wouldn't want to oppress people with religious beliefs as long as they do not oppress my beliefs. I do however think the world would be a better place without religion.
I believe that we should spend our time instead trying to make the most of the one and only life we have and treat others with respect and kindness. We should do this because we believe it is the 'right' thing to do rather than because we believe it will get us brownie points in heaven or an eternity in hellfire if we don't.

Of course not.
Who in their right mind believes in something that hasn't a shred of evidence to support it, apart from a book of myth, legend contradiction, inaccuracies and downright lies - written by man?
Most believers simply take that option because that's all they've been taught. They seem incapable of rational thought or even an ability to research or explore how amazing the world is. Without recourse to a man-made God.

Yes, I take nothing for coincidence, and I feel a God-like presence, also there are Bible codes that pretty much PROVE God is real. I'll show some, also haven't you ever been thinking a question, and the answer will appear in speech, writing,T.V., etc.?
A) In the Old Hebrew translation of the Bible there is a numeric code, because in Hebrew, letters also had a numerical value according to the alphabet. This code sequence, in the lines when added up from left to right, emerged in a pattern from line to line: 7,11,7,11.
This was considered possible by scientists to have occurred naturally in men's speech, until they calculated the odds of this, and they came out 7 billion, and the chance of a natural occurrence in this was 11 trillion, continuing in a like manner.
B) Also when you translate all of the names from the Old Testament, including moses, to Hebrew, they SPELL out the story of Christ, literally. I can't remember all of it but it starts like this;
" I will appoint a man, a man of sorrow..."
C) In the Revelations chapter of the Bible it says, " Let him who has an ear understand, calculate the number of the Beast, for that number is the number of a man, that number is 666, when translated EVERY 666TH letter spells out:
Satan, The Accuser
Many more have been discovered, but they are almost unexplainable,
anyway I hope you put your trust in God and the Son.

no.
Everything is scientific.
I am a very literal person.
there is no way that one person could do all of this, what we live in.
the creation of the universe, the earth, life... is all scientific.
the theory that all people came from 2 original ones?
rediculous.
that would mean that all people on the face of the earth are loosely related and are eventually incest.
how does that explain immigrants?
people living in different countries?
it doesn't make any sense.
and how would people have created different last names?
it's obnoxious.
the idea itself is becoming too sterotypical...
the old guy in the white gown with the long white beard?
just an image we have come to accept as a "god"
there is no evidence anything just appeared because one guy said "let there be light!"
who can make that decision?
one day he was just sitting there, bored, so he was like: "i think i will create an entire complex universe with.... humans, yes humans... and organisms that depend on eachother... with complex feelings and ideas, today... just for the heck of it!"
nope. doesn't happen.

I believe in God.
When I step out and look at the stars I just think of the magnificence and power of the creator. The beauty of the sky lit by tiny lights which are actually huge planets as you get closer. Held in suspension above our heads... no strings attached. When I look at a newborn baby, or even my body, my hair, my eyes, my fingers, the fact that I can see colours, speech, emotions. I believe that there is a supreme being behind all creation. The creation of male and female - partners that cannot survive on their own. With different bodily functions to sustain life. All exisiting in different species.
The fine balance of life. The use of oxygen and water by the body to sustain life. Time itself being a creation of God. Everyday is a miracle, a gift.... life, time, nature... creations of God.

First let me say that I have always believed to each his own. Live and let live. And I still do I guess, but seeing people not having any faith in God......I'm just stunned I guess. Here's why I know there is a God. 1st - Everything in this world was created from something. This world didn't just spring up from nothing without help from somewhere. 2nd - There absolutly has got to be more to living than just the physical things we do. ( work, play, sex,so forth and so on) Alot of people will say " Is this it?" "Is this all life is all about?" 3rd- I know there is a God because I have felt him. Jesus is God's son and Jesus was and is real. And Jesus HAS touched my life. I smoked pot and I got wild with the best of them, I've done my share of things. I didn't just talk myself into thinking He was trying to reach me. I've been to busy trying to find a job to be dwelling on Jesus, ya know.? But, there He was all of a sudden talking to me. Why? I don't have a clue.
Listen, and I am trying not to go on and on I promise, for some reason or another I have been thinking I wanted to get in to Church again. So, finally I went and my life has changed. I was down to my last $20.00 dollars one day and I had to try to feed a family of five with that. Before I would have laid down and cried, but that day I said out loud " God I'm giving it up to you and I know you won't let this family go hungry." " Help me God like I know you will." We ate very light that night, but the next day I got some back child support in the mail and we ate quite well that night. Now, I know that check didn't just appear in my mail box. But I truely feel He set things up to make me see if I have the faith in Him He wants me to have He will give me what I need. Maybe not all I want, but what He has in store for me. And that is not the only story I could tell, but I won't take up anymore of your time trying to confince you.
Either you believe or not. I personally think even if you don't think it's plausable, it sure is the safer way to go. Because if you are wrong, bless your burning heart. But If I'm wrong I'll never know it. But, I'm not wrong.
