My wife and I were walking down the street in Montreal and a passerby said this to us: "Vous etes une belle ensemble." Could someone tell me what it means?

If he said: "Vous allez bien ensemble" ... that means: "You are a beautiful (cute) couple" ... with the meaning: "You match well together" ...

if a passer by said it. and you have the ability to correctly write it down. i think you already know what it means. 'you are a beautiful ensemble' means something like outfit or person
