Right to choose- normally means right to choose abortion.
I support a woman's right to choose where to live, what to eat, who to marry, etc. But I would not support her right to choose to rob a bank, defraud someone, or commit murder. Pro-life is just That- pro-LIFE, not wanting to see ANY life cut short.

Based upon what the nation calls pro-choice, pro-life and pro-choice are opposite. Pro-life says a baby has a right to life, Pro-choice says a woman has the right to end that life.

If I get what you're saying, no, at least not in my opinion. I think that the woman has the right to choose, but *personally* I think it's wrong and if someone asked me, "Do you think I should have an abortion?" I would advise against it (unless there was a medical reason for it). Ultimately, however, I believe the choice is the mother's, and if she decides to get an abortion, for whatever reason, she should have the ability to have it done in a clean, safe facility.

Legally, the other side of the argument is actually not about a woman's right to choose; its all about privacy. The question is whether or not the government has an interest in each person's health care. Does the government have an interest in your body, or is something you should have the right to keep private? By overturning Roe v. Wade, it may become possible for the government to require health care procedures that you may not want. Making the argument about a woman's right to choose has been a big mistake in my opinion.

And I think it is entirely possible for your beliefs to be pro-life and also allow others to formulate their own beliefs.

You mean be pro-life and pro-death at the same time?? Don't see how! Everyone is "pro-choice". I don't know anyone who doesn't value our right to make choices. But I also don't know any rational person who doesn't admit that certain choices, such as my choice to steal your money or burn your house down or punch you in the nose, cannot be allowed. Therefore, recognizing that the choice to kill your own children before they are born is immoral and cannot be allowed by any civilized society, does not make someone anti-choice, simply anti-murder and pro-life.

No it's not wrong. This is a very difficult subject. Women should have the right to make the decision of whether they are going to carry a child to full term or not. They also need to realize having sex creates human beings. Human beings that don't deserve to die because it is inconvenient for their parents. You sound like a very compassionate man.

That's a bit of a misleading phrase. A woman does not have full right to choose. A woman cannot choose to kill one of her own children just because it is effecting her quality of life. However, our laws say that what is in the womb is not a child. Yes, you can be pro-life, but understand that you are supporting a misnomer.

No, it is not.

1.) The intentional taking of an innocent life is always to be avoided.

2.) We need no laws in the USA concerning abortion.

I'm pretty much with you. I believe abortion is consciously choosing to take a human life and therefore, murder. But, I can't see Roe v. Wade being overturned after abortion has been legal in the U.S. for 34 years. It is between each person and God individually. I am not anyone else's judge.

I would think so yes because if the only other choice to life is death then it is not pro-choice it is pro-death and why is anything the innocent babies fault?
