Hard to get any height gains that late, might though. It all depends on the growth plates at the end of your long bones. They will close at some point and 17 is about that time. And they really won't grow after that. And it will be hard to get the doctor to prescribe if you don't have a documented pituitary problem.

Growth hormone INJECTIONS are most effective if your epiphyses or growth plates haven't closed as yet. Although any doctor can prescribe them, your best bet would be to consult a reputable endocrinologist for advice and prescription. Also, human growth hormone is VERY expensive.

Only if the 17 year old has a deficiency in that hormone. If it's just because he wants to get taller, than no, he won't. Also, their needs to be parental consent whenever there is any medication given to an underaged minor.

They only would if there is a an acceptable medical reason for needing the medication.

They don't give it to people who just want to get a little taller.

i would hope a doc wouldn't prescribe that to anyone, even if they are over 18 - they cant be safe - you are the height you are, deal with it or get lifts for your shoes.
