i want to send my wedding invatation tom one of my friends in toronto, on when i send it do i need any extra stamps on it?

I'm not sure how much but it is a minimal amount.

Depends where you are sending from as you do not say what country you are from. But, I would check with your postal station, anyone would help ,cause perhaps the invitation is heavier than normal letters. It would have to be weighed in that case. But if a regular type letter than all you have to do is call your post office for rates :) Oh and congrats on your wedding :)

If you are in the US the postage rate is actually 69 cents for a 1 ounce letter to Canada. Rates go up quickly if it weighs more.

The postage agreement just mean the post offices are willing to swap each others mail at the border. It does not mean their is no charge to the customer.

You can choose the Ontario (Canada) destination from this Postage Calculator to double check or figure out for different weights.

No extra post necessary, there is a reciprocity agreement between the US and Canada to honor the other's post.

It will take longer, however. A postcard sent June 22nd from Alberta took 8 days to get to me in Florida.

It will depend on weight too. Best to go to a postal outlet and they will weigh it for you.
