Ok, i know some things you might want to know about both
Pugs~ they have alot of trouble breathing when it is hott outside and scan not breathe very well. They always have trouble breathing because of there flat noses. They are very cute and playful though! They do not need alot of grooming attention either. They are very cute and are lap dogs. They always want loving and want to to be taken everywhere.

Pomeranian~ They are very adorable and soft dogs. They love to be with you wherever you go. They are also lap dogs. They do not have any breathing problems like the pug does. They do need alot more grooming than the pug. They are both equally playful and want alot of attention.

Prices-They are probably about the same price but i do not know for sure.

I hope this helped:)

I'm partial to Pomeranians, so you know my answer!

Poms are a very loyal breed. They are intelligent, loving and a bundle of joy. They are great little watch dogs. They don't need much room and are great for small houses or apartments.

ADD:
I have to tell you the down side as well.
They are hairy and need frequent grooming
NEVER shave them
They can have luxating patellas (dislocated knees-with any small breed, not just Poms)
They can have collapsing tracheas (any small breed)
They can be vocal and "talk" to you
If not socialized, they can be nippy (any breed)
They overheat easily
Hard to house break (any small breed)

Now, you need to take everything into consideration and find which breed will suit you best.

I always wanted a norfolk terrier but I can't have one b/c of my allergies. Anyway, they are great little dogs! The dogs you are considering are all different types of dogs;make sure you research and find the dog that fits your lifestyle and what you want from a dog. Check out akc.org and read about the dogs.

i think the pomeranian, though if the norfolk is still a choice, get that. Norfolks are nice, smart, and need lots of excersize, but they cost around 3000 dollars.

I would get a pug. Dont pomeranians get alot of hair? Then it would be hard to keep nots out of their hair. In my opinion pugs are cuter.

try going to see each of these breeds and your heart will tell you what you want. All dogs come with some health risks of some kind, as do we humans. Some day some how something might show up, or may not. It is not always which is better, it is what do you want.

How much room do you have for the animal to call his own?
Is there enough area to exercise ?
Which dog do you personally like the best?

Or- "by finalists", are you just looking for jewelry on a leash?

I say adopt an animal from a shelter. They have pure bred animals available too, and you would be saving a life!
Good luck to you.
