Shouldn't your question be "How do I get a man who is 15 years older than me to notice me?"
Ask him out - you'll soon find out.

First of all, stick to your own age bracket. Chances are: you're both on two completely different maturity levels. If it's a man who is older by that much, I'd be suspicious that he was only looking for a booty call anyway to regain, with a "young woman", the virility he may felt he lost with age. Same thing the other way around if it is an older woman and younger man. She is at her 'peak' if you know what I mean and may be looking for a young man to keep up with her.

Secondly, if the person is attracted, but doesn't like the other person...sounds contradicting and like nothing more than a possibilty of a one night stand to be kept in mind.

Thirdly, if the other person is never around or seemingly tries to avoid you when they see you or never reciprocates the attention. Give it up. It's obvious he/she is not interested.

Judging by your username, I'd guess you're the female in the situation. Couldn't really tell otherwise with the inconsistent use of pronouns. Sorry.

I kind of figure a 10 year difference, or that 1/2 plus 7 formula make good sense

I would not have a problem being with a woman who looks young, one who IS young though would be a problem.

Similar maturity level is important.

A cute woman 15 years younger could probably talk me into it though, if she was attracted to me.

20 years younger, I wouldn't do it though

All men are intimidated by women as a matter of course. Women are more mature mentally than men, too, so 15 years put you at the same mental level. Age is a state of mind and should not matter. You can never please the world so quit trying. Go forth and be happy for too soon you will die.

My husband is 13 years older than I am. Neither of us thought about the age difference. I'm in my mid 40's. He's in his late 50's. I guess it would have been an issue if I were a teenager when we met.

If he is not married, go for it. You should ask him to help you do something for you, preferably at home or on your car, and then you can treat him for having done it. Tires go flat all the time!
