Yes... but it also depends on how he showed up right in front of me... if he just walked up and said, "hey, I'm Jesus"... I'd just move on... after all, I'm not like the mormons

No.. I would accept that god exists if I had proof, say if Jesus showed up in front of me and I had a means to verify that it was Jesus etc. I still would not ascribe to the doctrine or dogma of religion.. It goes much deeper than scepticism, I don't agree with the false morality, the bigotry or any of the things stated in the various versions of the bible. Even if right now I was somehow given absolute proof that the god of christianity exists, I would not join the religion because I dont agree with it at all. I dont care what I would be rewarded with or "inherit" what I care about is doing good for the sake of doing it, I care about morality based on understanding and knowledge, and not for the sake of any reward. I believe what I believe and nothing will ever change that, not even a god.

No because jesus is just a man. Or was. And anyone can claim to be jesus and have in the past. Maybe you're gullible but I'm not. Jesus was never a god. Its only some Christians that have decided to turn him into one and, if he existed, he'd be horrified.

1) I meet guys named Jesus a lot. I would need some actual proof.
2) God is not Jesus.
3) No, even if he did exist I don't think I'd worship him. He's not the kind of god I'd respect.

if jesus showed up right in front of me, yes I would believe in god- but Id take a swing at him before ever even considering following that god. That god is a monster.

This is a hypothetical question. I consider the chance that jesus shows up lower than the chance that the flying spaghetti monster shows up. Therefore I will deal with this possibility first, and when I made up my mind on the FSM I will reconsider jesus. Thank you for listening.

Jesus is mortal, he'd be like any other bible thumper that knocks on my door. I'd turn him away just the same. If he argued, i'd say then blame your dad for allowing people to ruin the whole 'appearing at your doorstep thing' to deliver pamphlets thing. Tell your dad to show up if you want me to believe in him, if not i just think some guy calling himself jesus came to my door. Now if you started doing things that were impossible like turning water into gold right in front of me, and other neato tricks then maybe i'd think twice? who knows. David copperfield isn't jesus but i'm sure he could wow me just the same.

As a logical person I am always open to new evidence. Just like I'm sure that if Horus or Mithras appeared before you, you'd admit you were wrong and start worshiping them. Right?

Of course, even if your god existed, I wouldn't give my life to the baby-murdering, kitten-drowning, slavery-condoning, torture-loving god.

To many other possibilities to jump to that conclusion.
Why wouldn't you believe he was a time traveler, or an alien, or simply a figment of your imagination?
The God story is just so much more believable? Why?
