If I eat a diet largely made up of fish like salmon, and shrimp, lobster, clams, scallops, and crabs, as opposed to, say, a diet made up largely of chicken, pork and beef, is that healthier? Or is some seafood high in fat?
By the way, I'm not allergic to any seafood.

Some seafood is high in cholesterol (shrimp, lobsters/crab especially), which is the only obvious downside. A diet high in seafood would be good for you, although ideal would be a lot of seafood and chicken, with occasional lean beef/pork.

Sea food diets are far healthier than red meat diets. Lean white chicken is about the same as most white fish for health benefits. Sea food is heart smart, it has omega 3 fatty acid which gives you brain power and lowers cholesterol. Some seafood is fatty but generally less than beef or pork and its a good soluble form of fat. GO SEAFOOD!

Some seafood is high in cholesterol, like lobster, but for the most part seafood is a wonderful alternative to lean meats. Fish gives you a lot of different nurtients that other meats don't have.
I don't think you have anything to worry about. Just as long as you're eating in moderation and are eating a balanced diet of fruits, veggies, whole grains and meats, you should be just fine.

Much of it is not really healthy, esp shelled critters like the crab and lobster. The lobster and the cockroach are cousins. The fat content isn't high but the contaminants are high.
If you concentrate on the leaner meats, there is no prob. unless you just eat 2 much of them.

Why do you think Asians are skinner and live longer?? Because their diet include a lot of seafood. I love seafood, specially fresh. It's the healthiest thing you can introduce to your diet ;) even the ones that are high fat are healthy.

its not unhealthy but u would probably b healthier if u ate more of a well-balanced diet that includes meat and veggies. red meat has iron that is needed by ur body that u cant get thru a supplement. plus u need all the vitamins found in the different veggies.

All seafood is healthy, even the fatty ones such as salmon but they are healthy fats in comparision to pork and beef which are full of saturated fat and known as red meat. Chicken and turkey are in a different category and are known as lean meats which are healthy for you.

they say that seafood is good because of all the omega - 3s in them and other good things. Except for those high in mercury - and that only applies to those who are pregnant - which I knowww your not! lol and deli meats and stuff like that you can get a foodbourne illness from them. So Im guessin seafood is better for you
