JW's are really just a cult in my opinion. Kingdom hall is not a place to worship God .. just a place to learn how to get more recruits.
My sister in law was JW. She married my brother who wasn't and was disfellowshiped from her Hall and her family disowned her. My brother converted; forgetting about spending holidays with his kids from previous marriage. Once they were back on the streets bugging innocent people at home on a Saturday, her Hall and her family took her back. Sadly, this wall all too much for her and she killed herself in September.

Such slander is not new.
They called Jesus a glutton and a drunkurd.
Bro Russell
A clergyman who used this approach at Hamilton was a bombastic Baptist preacher named J. J. Ross. In 1912, he wrote a scurrilous pamphlet in which he made many false accusations against Russell. Acting on the advice of his legal counselor, J. F. Rutherford, Brother Russell laid a criminal charge of defamatory libel against Ross. As the complainant, Russell attended the trial to give evidence, and he submitted to a long cross-examination of roughly five hours. After the trial, his Baptist opponent falsely charged that Russell had committed perjury when asked about his knowledge of Greek. This “perjury” charge was published in Ross’ second pamphlet attacking Russell.
In it the cleric misquoted what had been said in court, giving the cross-examiner’s question and Russell’s reply as follows:
Q. “Do you know the Greek?”
A. “Oh, yes.”
By omitting the word “alphabet” from this question, Ross sought to establish an exact contradiction with a later question and answer:
Q. “Are you familiar with the Greek language?”
A. “No.”
What really happened is clear from the official record (Police Court of the City of Hamilton, Ontario, March 17, 1913). It shows that C. T. Russell did not commit perjury. The cross-examination (by George Lynch-Staunton, K. C.) went as follows, according to the book Jehovah’s Witnesses in Canada, by M. James Penton:
“Question: ‘You don’t profess, then, to be schooled in the Latin language?’
Answer: ‘No, Sir.’
Question: ‘Or in Greek?’
Answer: ‘No, Sir.’”
After this, Russell was asked if he knew individual Greek letters, and he said that he “might make a mistake of some of them.” According to the book just cited, shortly thereafter “Lynch-Staunton asked Russell the question: ‘Are you familiar with the Greek language?’ Russell’s reply was an emphatic ‘No.’”
So, there was no question about matters. C. T. Russell had not committed perjury as Ross falsely charged after the trial. The case itself later went before a grand jury, which declined to return a bill of indictment. So, the case never went on for trial before the Supreme Court of Ontario. Under legal practice in Ontario, only the crown attorney is allowed to speak before the grand jury. We do not know how the case was presented to it or what caused that body to reject it. No decision ever was rendered on the merits of the case. In his subsequent writings, Ross treated this inconclusive result as though he had won a great victory. He and others apparently chose to forget that Russell was not the man on trial.

Bro. Rutherford
This sort of unjustified attack is exemplified by a “National Catholic Monthly for the Family” entitled the “Home Messenger” in its issue of August 1955, in an article: “They Call Themselves the Witnesses of Jehovah.” The writer was exposed in publishing thirty-five lies, falsehoods and misstatements in his base attempt to prove the Witnesses as bad ones.
22 The Awake! magazine of April 8, 1956, (pages 17, 18) publishes the Witnesses’ full reply under the heading “The Hypocrisy of Men Who Speak Lies.” (1 Tim. 4:1-3) A few extracts from the reply will reveal the baseness of this clergy attack.
“The article further claims that Jehovah’s witnesses believe that ‘Christ is floating around in the air,’ and that they expected Christ to come visibly in 1874, and then in 1914, when nothing had happened in 1874, and upon being disappointed in 1914 they ‘came up with the dandy that Christ did come in 1914 but invisibly.’ The fact is that Jehovah’s witnesses from the very beginning understood that Christ’s second presence was to be invisible. . . . Next the reader is assured that ‘Jail seems to be the proper background for the witnesses. Their “Judge” Rutherford was in jail when their founder “Pastor” Charles Taze Russell died in 1916,’ and that he was sent there because of sedition and obstructing the draft. However, everyone knows that the United States did not have any sedition or draft act in 1916. The facts are that Judge Rutherford was not sentenced until 1918, more than a year and a half after Pastor Russell had died, and that this conviction was later reversed in court and acknowledged as unjust.”
Rutherford was a powerful, accomplished public speaker, who as a lawyer argued cases on behalf of Jehovah’s Witnesses before the Supreme Court of the United States.
(something he couldn't have done if convicted of a federal crime.)

My comment is please get your facts straight.

You must not go around among your people for the sake of slandering.—Leviticus 19:16.
Five days later the high priest Ananias came down with some older men and a public speaker, a certain Ter·tul′lus, and they gave information to the governor against Paul. When he was called, Tertullus started accusing him, saying:
“Seeing that we enjoy great peace through you and that reforms are taking place in this nation through your forethought, at all times and also in all places we receive it, Your Excellency Felix, with the greatest thankfulness. But that I may not hinder you any further, I beseech you to hear us briefly in your kindliness. For we have found this man a pestilent fellow and stirring up seditions among all the Jews throughout the inhabited earth and a spearhead of the sect of the Nazarenes′, one who also tried to profane the temple and whom we seized. From him you yourself can by examination find out about all these things of which we are accusing him.” -Acts 24:1-8
And I heard a loud voice in heaven say:
“Now have come to pass the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ, because the accuser of our brothers has been hurled down, who accuses them day and night before our God! - Revelation. 12:10
You must not testify falsely as a witness against your fellowman Exodus 20:16
16These six things doth the LORD hate: yea, seven are an abomination unto him: 17A proud look, a lying tongue, and hands that shed innocent blood, 18An heart that deviseth wicked imaginations, feet that be swift in running to mischief,
19A false witness that speaketh lies, and he that soweth discord among brethren .Proverbs 6:16-19 (KJV)

Anything that isn't yours is wrong?
To me it doesn't matter how I found out the secrets of the scriptures I am just tickled to death I finally understand what I am reading.
You people keep looking in the wrong places.
God is lighting the way for you...he is using witnesses as human torches and guiding you out of your spiritual darkness..but that's just too simple for you...you think God has some trick up his sleeve...you say God is responsible for all the evil in the world.....Well my friends...Satan has you all buffaloed and he even has you convinced he doesn't even exist. Hahahahaha
You should sit up straight....bow your heads...cmon this won't hurt...and pray to God.
He will direct your steps towards him if you pray for his direction..
Just like the world died when Noah entered the Ark....he kept telling them to please listen.
I am begging you...this world will eventually end..just like the Romans and the Medes and Persians and all the others...Please learn what you can now to be saved then..
God wants you to live. Act Now!

Yes, great stuff. Their religion was totally written by man, with no regard to the Bible. The only way they can proove their believs is by using the writing of these men you speak you speak of and more since then. They have to have their own Bible even. God says His word will never change, not one little thing. Nor we He change. ALso, if you study with them, they will tell you that when you proove something wrong by the Bible, they will tell you that the watchtower organization is placed above the Bible and they go by the words of their prophets and this organization. SO any religion that puts itself about God , is not of God. and, when they say that they dont go along with the full teachings of Jesus Christ, what does that say? Look in second John. IF any come to us to bring God, and dont bring the teachings of Jesus Christ, they are anti christ, not my words, but GOds. They believe JEsus came in secret, PAROUSIA. Thats not what the Holy Bible says. WE must knew Jesus came as a man, lived and died. Suffered for our sins and died so we didnt hve to, and that He will come again to take us home. Thats the doctrines of Jesus Christ Without them, its only a cult, and fasel religion. By all things, we check the word of God and see what He says. Its all there. and the JW also teach against the trinity and the rapture Thats all in the Bible also, whether ppl will study and udnerstand it or not. ITs there. So its THEIR religion ,not Gods. Great things you wrote. Thanks. We must all know and speak truth as well as live it. AMen

There are many, many things that people don't know about their religion. Even JW don't know..because they are warned against researching these things.
I have found through my questions to JW's that they don't tell it like it is...When asked about their feelings on different things..They never quite tell exactly how JW's think about them.
What they don't seem to realize is that I was a JW for well over 30 years and I know exactly how they feel, but yet , I see them over and over again..whitewashing things..
For example , there was a question early from a man who asked something about if they feel Churches are evil..They all answered in a round about way that NO , they don't feel that way..
But, I know for a fact that is how they feel..
By the time I was about to answer the question myself..I was gone..?
debbie2243>..You are so mislead..It would be wise for you to pray for guidance and to make sure that you are serving God and not man. Be wise to pay attention to the scriptures that point to ones twisting the scriptures to their own interpretations, and the scripture that warns they will be sheep in wolves clothing's , seeking to devour you..
My eyes were opened..God lead me to where I needed to be.

I think I had read that on Russell. The Russel-lites won't appreciate you exposing their founder this way. They get a little upset when you call it Russell-ism.
I didn't know that about Rutherford.
