At least he was getting good fuel economy during the chase, but the police found Marijuana, Valium, Percodan and other drugs he didn't have a prescription for, in his car.
Follow up question:
Will Al Gore III get the celebrity treatment in court? (if it even goes to court)

Love him.
That's all you can do with a child that lets you down because he acted stupid. Just love him, and be there for him.

I didn't know a Prius could even be driven that fast. Maybe Gore III is still depressed over his Dad having the 2000 Presidency stolen from him. You never know!!!

Daddy has no control over his idiot ADULT son.

I did not know a Prius could go 100MPH...wow.

Let's see it's California so he will get a good sized fine for the speeding. The drugs well he will probably do the "in" thing and go to rehab.

The boy is not the sharpest tool in the shed obviously, who in their right mind would be carrying narcotics and speeding? Did he just score and couldn't wait to get home and try it?

Al Gore doesn't have to do anything about his son...the son is over 18!
Do you mean should he run to his son's aid and pay high priced lawyers to try and keep him out of jail, like paris hilton's family tried.. Al Gore should stay out of it and let his son take responsibility for his actions

Probably. He was busted for drugs before while a student at Harvard and attended a substance abuse program. He'll probably claim he has a "problem" and will be handled with (rich) kid gloves.

lol I didn't know a Prius would do 100 mph!

First of all, there was no chase. He pulled over, and according to the police was very co-operative. If he had not been driving a Prius, you would have been griping about that.

Al should by his son more "Criminal Offense Off-set Credits".

Also, get his son a Prius and put a governor on it to limit the speed.

Frankly I don't care. It is the Gore family business. And if he gets jail time has no impact on my life. Just like Paris and Scooter. Couldn't care less.

Hopefully the same thing any father would do for his son. Try to help him.
I'm sure the media will play it up, but it really isn't worth watching.
