No, many natural treats include apple chunks - Mother Hubbard's, and probably many others. Some dogs may love the crunch and juice. Fruits and veggies, like carrots, are good treats. An often-suggested treat for a stay-at-home dog is to core an apple and stuff it with peanut butter or a little bit of squirt-can cheese. That would be an ouside treat. I don't want the mess inside.
GRAPES ARE 'POISONOUS' FOR DOGS, THO.

most apples are not. Ones that have fallen off the tree or are slightly rotted though, they start a process that is akin to fermenting, and there are some components that can be nauseating and toxic to dogs, especially if your dog has any liver or renal insufficientcies. If you are just feeding good apples as a treat, then go ahead. Keep in mind there is a lot of natural sugar in apples and if your dog is a dibaetic it can cause an upswing in blood glucose levels.

No, they're o.k., but I would not let a dog eat too much of any fruit at one time - can cause diarrhea. The apple pits are not good for dogs, but there really aren't enough pits in one apple to do any damage, and if she doesn't eat the core, there's no problem.

Fruits and Vegetables including apples are actually the best foods dogs can eat.
The problem is not a lot of dogs like fruits and or vegetables.

No they are not. They can cause diarrhea in large quantities so don't let your dog go to town on them, but some is actually healthy. Many high quality dog food contain apples.

My family owns an apple orchard and my dogs LOVE apples- they eat them all the time. They're safe, just make sure they're washed and you take it away if your dog starts to get to the core part...otherwise it's a choking hazard.

The apple itself is not however the pit and the seeds are. They have contain a chemical that may kill your dog.
