I use Biblegateway.com. Yes, even if it were only Christians here I would still answer with quotes. If someone tells me the Bible says something then I want to see it for myself, I assume others would also. I believe the Bible is God's word and as such it is my final authority, not people. I provide the verses so a person can read them and see how I determined my answer. People should not come to a religious section and then be offended by repeatedly seeing sections of the Bible.

Sorry to make you uncomfortable, but Christians dont' copy/paste scriptures to bore or discomfort others. The passages that you see are teachings and valuable references to support and explain why we say and behave in a peaceful and loving manner.
If peace and love annoy you...then you have a long way to go before you ever see heaven.
If you don't care about heaven or peace or loving one another, that is alright. You might want to visit another room such as Mythology or even Celebrities. These rooms are fairly light and shallow, so you don't have to worry about getting into anything that is substantial or meaningful.
This room isn't ONLY for Christians, it is just occupied by many good Christians and various relgious people who are interested in "religion". Since it is Religion & Spirituality, not "a lack of Religion & Spirituality" category, that's why you may feel out of place and awkward when someone cites a meaningful passage or inspiring quote. And that's where you made a wrong turn...but, come back when you are ready!
We are praying for you.

Personally, I type out the ones that I know the address (book, chapter and verse...) if I don't know the addy, then I will look it up and sometimes copy and paste.
I have Bible Soft PC...and many different translations.
If you are asking a question for Christians and they use the Bible to answer you...why does that bother you? You are asking about their faith and belief and they are giving you specifics from the Holy Bible.
If you don't want bible answers...then perhaps you need to change your questions and maybe even the section you choose to hang out in? Just a suggestion.
Hope that helps!

Bible navigator is a good program for researching the bible.
I quote "GOSPEL" verses because the Words are not mine. They are the Words of Him who sent me, and the Words are in my forehead, they no longer are written in a letter, they are written in my heart, I see the Words in my mind. I see the Truth ----- Satan is the God of the wilderness ------

Unfortunately most hyper religious zealots who quote scripture in the way that you speak are quoting from their own narrow minded heads. Scary huh?

You can choose from several different versions of the Bible, and it has its own search engine.
