There is no such thing as British Revenue Board and why would they have accounts in Malaysia in dollars? Did you enter a prize draw?
I don't think so.

Reality check. Our tax collection agency is Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs, and it takes payments in £ Sterling in Great Britain and Northern Ireland. Why would we accept US$, and why would Malaysia be involved. And why would you win a prize if you didn't enter a competition or buy a lottery ticket etc?. Give them the $4200 and you will never see it, or the prize, again.

Tear up the letter or delete the email.
I'd be a billionaire many times over if all the lotteries I'd won were for real.

If you really had won something and there really were fees or taxes to pay why could they not simply take it out of your winnings?

haha one of the oldest scams out there. don't ever reply to any email that contains any form of "transfer from account" or the like. they usually come from a "representative" of a country like west africa, somoa, etc.

It's a scam. Ignore it and if it is an e-mail, don't reply to it - the fraudsters can gather information about you if you reply.
