My daughter is 5 yrs old and only seen her biological father a handful of times as a newborn so she has never 'met' him.I orginally asked my daughters biological father to keep his distance till our daughter was a little bit older about age 6 or 7 for them to meet.I did this because her father is a Russian business man Not a U.S citizen(works in banking)who travels a lot and i did not want my daughter to be confused. But he still sent presents and money for her.My daughter in return sent him her art work with some cards and both of them have seen photos of each other.I also married someone else she knows as her step dady or other daddy whom i am now divorcing after 4 yrs they did not get along well.I spoke with my daughters real father and he is very willing to take the time out to see his daughter. How do introduce them slowly and how?I think with my upcoming divorce this important. Also her father spent time in Russian prison and has a odd essortment of tatoos which will scare her?

well as for the tatoo.. thing.. I think you should get one of those fake tatoo art kits and you three can sit there and put tattoos on eachother an dlet her know that they arent bad they just represent certain things...she might have seen a scary tatoo or seen a movie where th ebad man had a tatoo... but id you get the washable tatoo pens and explaing it like the skin is the paper and the tatoo is the art....just do things together and they wiill get to know eachother in the process

Just make sure he keeps his tattoos covered up as much as possible. Treat him just like you would treat a friend of yours and she will eventually start trusting him. It's hard to introduce people, especially an adult to a child this late in the game but, it's done every day. She'll be fine, they both will. Make sure you let her know that her real daddy is coming to visit, help her paint some pictures for him, even keep track of it on a caldendar with her. It'll be fine. Plus, he might be able to help teach her Russian (it's a good thing, trust me).
Good luck :)

Don't project your concerns or fears onto your daughter. It is likely that if she sees the tats, she will ask about them and HE can explain them to her!
You let them meet, in a neutral environment like a park, and you judge from HER (not your reaction) as to how best to proceed. Do not push for affection if it isn't freely given. Do not push for anything. Let them have their time and be respectful of him. Afterall, she is half of him too!
Good luck. May this be a great relationship for your daughter to have with her dad. Kids need consistency and having an involved father is a great thing!

Choose a "safe" place (either your home or a favorite restaurant, perhaps) and keep it short. Make sure she knows in advance who she will be meeting and ask him to wear clothing that will cover as many tattoos as possible.

I guess you didn't like the answers you got to this same question you asked recently.
She's 5 so you don't tell her too much and don't expect too much from her.
You just explain that she's a lucky little girl because she has 2 fathers....etc. etc. etc.

I'm really not sure, but it sounds like you have already started the process by showing her photos. It will probably be very akward at first.
