Rome and Venice are in the opposite direction with respect to Pisa. You can reach Rome from Pisa byu train in 3 hours. There are about 4 or 5 intercity trains (Pisa Roma) for day. Normally you don't need to book the seat.
From Rome you can get to Venice in about 5 hours. You probably have to book these tickets. Take a look at the site www.trenitalia.com.
From Venice to Pisa probably you have to change train in Florence.
It is very good the fact that all the three station are in the center of these cities. In comparison with the possibility to take the airplane this is a very good advantage.
Have a nice sightseeing!!

Hello,

You can take a commuter train from Pisa to Florence in about 45 minutes. From there you can change trains to the high speed trains to either Rome of Venice. These are in opposite directions once you are in Florence. It is about an hour and a half to Rome and about 3 hours to Venice. From Rome to Venice is about 4.5 hours. Depending on when you are going on your vacation, you may not have to buy your tickets too much in advance. You won't have a problem getting to either Rome or Venice from Florence but getting from Rome to Venice (or vice versa) might be a problem. Once you get to Pisa buy all your tickets at the same time. This way you can reserve a seat on the high speed train between these two cities. You can use the self service kiosk to buy the tickets. Check the trenitalia website for the schedule to help you plan better. When we were in Rome in March we bought our train ticket to Venice on Friday for the train on Monday with no problem. You should be able to do the same thing.

Have a good trip, Donna
