I am constantly seeing people claim that "God" does things to test us..or he tests us to make us stronger well don't you think it's not so much that he is testing us but just screwing with us. I mean let's start at the beginning...he creates us, makes us perfect, gives us a great place to live...yet he puts 1 tree in a garden that he tells us not to eat from...Ummm what exactly was the point of that? Why bother creating us perfect in the first place? if he is sooooo all knowing he knew we would screw up. Secondly I am tired of hearing about how a kid born with a terminal disease is some kind of test for his parents or a rape is a test for a female! When the hell are people gonna stop making excuses and realize that instead of "God" constantly screwing with his creation, he rather doesn't exist at all and human nature and genetics are the cause of the horrible things that go on in this world.

I don't believe in God at all. This question is just to see what others think.

I lost my father when I was 2.
My mother was in grief and depressed and an alcoholic.
She re-married and divorced.
I was raped by her boyfriend.
I lost my leg when I was 18 to a drunk driver.
Got married went full term and lost the baby due to chromosome problems.
Divorced.
Had a boyfriend got pregnant he didn't love me-had an abortion.
If I was a religious person I wouldn't like God very much. But I am not religious.
I think everything happens by chance-just like the moon, stars, super novas, black holes. A rat gets eaten by a crocodile. A hawk takes out a sparrow. A series of events makes things happen. This is how everything came to be.
A perfect life is built by tons of protection, not God.

Well think of it this way; I sure do. As a father, isn't it natural that you would reprimand your son or daughter to teach him/her how to live a better life? That means encouraging you when you do good, and show dissapointment when you do wrong. I find unfortunate events in my life as admonishments from God whenever I stray from him. Now that I started looking back, I do realize that most of the times when I was struggling with my faith or I was being rebellious towards God, something bad would happen.

I can understand your mind set. I had that mind set before. Your question can not be answered in just one explanation, especially if you are not willing to hear the answer. I was able to get out of that kind of mindset because I insisted on finding the truth by myself.
God is so obvious that we constantly take Him for granted. God makes the difference between me and the dust. God is sooooo all knowing. It is very apparent, however, that His beloved co-author (man) is soooo stupid so as to make a mess of life's perfection and put the blame to God because of his own ignorance and because he does not want to accept his own mistake.
Great philosophers like Socrates, Pythagoras, Tesla, Einstein, Edison to name a few who laid the foundation of our science today believed in God, I can not pretend to be wiser than them by denying their belief. They discovered truth not because they presumed that God is screwing with us. They attained such discoveries because they were humble enough to think that their limited senses were screwing their perception and understanding.
Your question is a good start. It will lead you right if you change your presumption. It is not a worthless endeavor, I promise you. This present lifetime is a rare gift. We should be grateful by giving Him the benefit of the doubt.

"Our God shall come, and shall not keep silence: a fire shall devour before Him, and it shall be very tempestuous round about Him. He shall call to the heavens from above, and to the earth, that he may judge his people. Gather My saints together unto Me: those that have made a covenant with Me by sacrifice. And the heavens shall declare His righteousness: for God is judge Himself." Psalm 50:3-6
When will man decide that sin destroys a people and a nation and learn the Word of God?
Who holds all of this together in His hand?
There is more to the unseen than to the seen.

Dear Friend,
God does not test anyone! It is the wickedness of this world and the fallen state of man that causes these things. Let us look to the Bible to see what God has to say on the matter..
Luke 4:5The devil led him up to a high place and showed him in an instant all the kingdoms of the world. 6And he said to him, "I will give you all their authority and splendor, for it has been given to me, and I can give it to anyone I want to. 7So if you worship me, it will all be yours.
Satan said it was given to him, who by? By Adam and Eve, because they chose to believe Satan rather that God, and thus became sinful, and as we know, we are a slave to whatever has mastered us, therefore our sinful nature is our master.
1 John 5:19
We know that we are children of God, and that the whole world is under the control of the evil one.
The Bible also says:
1 Corinthians 10:13
No temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
James 1:13
When tempted, no one should say, "God is tempting me." For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone;
The whole world is under the power of Satan, he causes some of these bad things to happen, but also we cause them through our sin and imperfection. Our illness is caused by the imperfection that lives in our bodies. But God in his mercy has give us a free gift, salvation, through which we can inherit eternal life through faith in Jesus. Why not look into this and check it out for yourself.
God Bless

Greetings questioner of everything. I remember as a child thinking that I needed to question everything. When I told people this they never understood what I meant.
I think you do understand. Religion proved its self a complete fraud to me so associating God with those who told me lies about him I naturally assumed that God was just another part of their lies.
Then this happened to me. Several years ago I had an unusual experience concerning an uncle, a distant relative who lived over a thousand miles away.
While driving my car I suddenly felt the unmistakable presence of this relative that I hardly even knew. He was more like someone I had heard about than someone I knew. It was very strange; it felt as though I was momentarily lifted right out of my physical body. I seemed to be suspended somehow beyond space and time, bathed in a love so intense It felt like I could have just disappear into it at any moment if It would have let me. It only lasted for a few seconds, but it seemed to last forever at the same time. I realize how crazy this must sound. The experience was so strong that at first I was afraid I was loosing my grip on reality. I finally managed to chalk it up to an over active imagination.
Three days later I got a call from my aunt telling me that this uncle we are talking about had gone into a coma and died the day I had the experience. It felt like ice water had been poured down my back when she told me this. I had lost any real ideas of God or faith and had become somewhat of an atheist. Needless to say this experience caused me to rethink some of the conclusions I had come to.
I feel blessed to now understand that even in our darkest confusion something loves us so much that it went out of its way to assist me and bring me back to a state of absolute certainty about Gods love for us.
During the experience it seemed like there was a vast amount of information that I was somehow allowed access to. One thing that I came away from this experience understanding beyond any shadow of a doubt was that any Idea that God is unhappy with us or would judge or allow us to be punished for any reason is simply impossible.
I can’t explain the love I felt with words. They simply don’t make words big enough or complete enough to do this. The only way I can begin to convey this love to you is to say that there was simply nothing else there. Nothing but love. No hint of judgment, no displeasure of any sort. It is as though God sees us as being as perfect as we were the day we were created. It is only in our confused idea of ourselves that we seem to have changed.
I hope this is of some help to you. Good luck. Love and blessings.
Your brother don

If there was a god there would be no point in "testing" anything, as his omniscience would include knowing every result.
It's obvious there is no god to anyone with a smidgen of rational thinking.

God is testing us to see if we can stand for Him. If you can't stand here on earth you surely can't stand in Heaven.
