What is the best way to handle poison ivy?(get rid of it, make it stop itching,ect)?

I have poison ivy all over and im going to go to the doctors but i need answers fast!

Prednizone from the doctor will help. It also can be transfered to other body parts from the oils it produces. Wash your clolthes, blankets often. i got it off my husband's lunch box.

Wash the rash and cover it with lots of calamine lotion or Benedryl Gel.

Calimin lotion (i think thats how you spell it!)
