Yes definitely replace them. Some friends of mine went ahead and put flooring over some rotten floor boards and one evening while having a party...someones chair leg went right through the floor.

The boards not only need to be replaced, but you need to check the others to make certain the rot has not spread... because sooner or later, it will. Not only that, but the rot may cause serious health problems, especially for anyone that has asthma or breathing difficulties.
Remember that saying: a stitch in time saves nine...? Well, it's sorta the same in this situation. If you don't replace the floorboards, others will begin to rot, the carpet will have rot, the wardrobe risks sinking into the floor... replacing the boards now will cost relatively little... if you cover over the rot, it will cost much more in the long run...
And just to make you smile like I did when I saw your question, it's sorta like pulling up your underwear after you have dropped a load, but not wiping yourself first... not a good idea!
Have a good day... and please, find out where the rot is coming from... it may be that you have a moisture problem!

Simply covering it over with carpet and placing a wardrobe over it will only hide it and not make it go away. You need to look at the underlying issue here...without seeing it I can't be sure but you need to work out why it has rotted.
Do you have damp patches on the walls? Has there been a leak in the past...or still is? It may simply be that something was spilt awhile ago and was not dried properly therefore causing the rot.
If it is only slight rot then it shouldn't be a major problem, you can try to rub the wood down with some sandpaper and see how it looks after.
If the wood is wet or really soft or looks very rotten I would suggest replacing it as it will probably only get worse.

Why is the floor board rotten? Find out what caused the problem, moisture, termites, what? You need to replace the floor boards that are rotten. There are different ways of replacing depending on what type of flooring is installed.

Rip up the boards and take a look at the floor joists. Anything that has fungus on it pull it and replace it

Depends on the type of rot. It's probably a good idea to replace them in case it is a fungus that can spread.

The rot will not go away, it will spread from them and eventually the wardrobe will fall over if you don't fix them now, but hey your choice - your house!
