Go to a specialist who can teach you the art of body language and how to lie while looking people directly in their eyes. Lose any trace of conscience you may possess, and be willing to sell your ideals to the highest campaign donor.
Go to work as a volunteer for one of the major parties. Get a law degree from whatever college will accept you. Begin to participate in local affairs (be sure to get your name in the newspaper and your face on television as frequently as possible), then GIVE UP...
The good old boys will make sure you never get a chance unless your daddy is part of them.
Good luck, and try not to get yourself arrested for having opinions and morals.

Your ambition is commendable!

You should begin by getting involved with the party you wish to affiliate with. Volunteer, get involved with the current campaigns. Help make phone calls. Get your party's message out.

You'll learn a lot about the system, how your party works, what your party believes, and how you can utilize that system to affect change for the better.

Good luck!

Start as a Council person for your city, then move up to Mayor when you fill that you are ready for that position. You can start volunteering at your local Senior Citizen Center, remember our elderly also vote. You might start there and see where it takes you. Good Luck
