it's fine, did you put anything on the bagel? Bagels are twice the size they used to be, so you should count the calories that you ate. It sounds like you eat healthy so it should be ok. You should eat more for breakfast because your body has gone for 8 hours without food. Your body needs the extra energy to get going in the morning, plus you have all day to burn it off, so it's ok.

Bad? In what sense? Pretty similar to what I eat most mornings. Quick, reasonably nutritions, and doesn't misbehave in my stomach during run and swim workouts.

Only thing bad is its a little light on calories. If I were doing a longish workout I'd need to throw a Powerbar in the mix as well.

I love bagels too. But the are loaded with calories not to mention carbs.

bad if it wasnt whole wheat bagel.
One bagel has almost 300cal, together with apple not too much calories for breakfast but you there are more healthy and more filling, nutritionally richer choices. (e.g. for 300cal you could have had old fashioned oatmeal with nuts and dried fruit or with fresh fruit and berries with honey)
