There is no long term damage from multiple general anaesthetics. There is however risk with any operation and general anaesthetic.

If you are fit and healthy, you have more chance of dying from a road traffic accident getting to hospital than you do from the general anaestheic or operation. However, if you have 2 operations, you double your risk. Just as if you buy 2 lottery tickets you have twice the chance (although still extremely small) of winning the jackpot.

I've been under general a number of times, with no ill after affects, but different people respond to it differently. I've never known of anyone personally that had a problem with general.

I have had several surgeries with the use of anesthesia. I have NOT had any changes in my health as the result of receiving it. Initially, after anesthesia, you may feel nauseous, definitely drowsy, but no long-term health changes.I hope that this helps.
